The addition of a rentboy named CJ in the last episode is a dramatic change for a show that started out bland. If you have not seen it yet i reccomend it highly. I like how there are characters of all ages now represented. Also added was scott Bakula who plays a flower shop owner who meets on of the leads in a sauna. very interesting. http://www.rentboy.com/magicmikey

Hi Mikey,

I agree with you. I was quite disappointed in the first couple of episodes, but the most recent episode certainly was a lot better. Unfortunately the 30 minute format does not allow for the depth of character building that I would like to see. I believe that Queer as Folk set the standard by which other shows will be judged, and Looking is not there as yet. But I do look forward to each new episode and usually try to watch again another night to pick up on some of the things that I missed the first time through. I don't have recording ability at the present time, but probably should do that so that I can archive them and then do a binge watch !

we also thought the first couple of episodes were boring...poorly written.....and following Girls made it even more so..however after watching Jonathan Groff on Andy Cohen's 'WWHL it makes me want to watch more and see what happens...He's awfully cute...a real type.....the script last week was just better...hopefully hoping it makes me laugh and care...

It's too bad "Looking" is already through four of its eight episodes. At just thirty minutes each, I had to use the Internet to figure who everyone was on the show for the first few episodes. There's a lot of gossip that HBO will not renew "Looking" for a second season because of low ratings. If so, that's a shame because I really like its low key style.

Jonathan Groff did a solo concert at Lincoln Center's American Songbook series at the Allen Room (Columbus Circle) Saturday night. He is awesome in person. Sweet and personable and a fantastic singer. I haven't seen "Looking" yet -- I normally wait for the season DVD set for these things.

At around 10:45PM last evening after I'd watched the Olympic skate dancers, I happened to flip on 'LOOKING' and viewed the last twelve minutes are so. I liked the hot Latino who happened to have been in that

segement. ...don't really know what he and his friend conversed. In my knowing that it will come on again one or more days during the week, I truly hope to catch it. Have not been an ardent viewer since its

being telecast, but did watch the sauna scene last week or the week before. Thought the meeting of the two men in the sauna and their conversation to be hot! ...thought both guys to be intriguing and alluring!!!

I thought last nite's episode was hot. I think it helped that the show focused only on two characters. Seemed very realistic to me. Groff having a hard time leaving in the morning, especially when he sees that his bf is hard. Then later when the bf is going down on him, and Groff tenses up, when said bf goes a little lower thna expected and the bf says, "Relax... you just had a shower" and proceeds. Also thought the whole conversation about who's getting fucked was on the money.... maybe not in the Ross and Rachel sense, but still sexy to me. Think overall it is getting better. I hope they give it a chance.

For the first time the 30 minute episodes on "Looking" (as opposed to 60 minutes) worked for me with just Patrick (Jonathan Groff) and Richie (Raul Castillo). As Okliehomo posted the dialogue was spot on for a new relationship, especially on sexual positions. The previous episode set the stage for last night, when Patrick realized his constant flirting with his male boss, who has a boyfriend, was a dead end. Groff is gay, Castillo is not --- but both did some fine acting in the scenes in bed. It took "Looking" too long to get going, but the last few epeisodes have been very good.

I liked last night's episode but had a hard time understanding Richie's speech. He talks like he has marbles in his mouth and i had to rewind a few times to understand.
