Possible Trip to Atlanta - Advice Needed

Hello Fellow Providers!

 

I'm thinking about going to Atlanta at the end of February for 10-14 days. I was curious how business might be for someone with my looks and where would be the best area to stay? It looks like hotels near the airport are reasonable, but not sure if that's convenient for clients. Buckhead is also an option as I found a studio apartment for rent for $60 a night. I do not drive, so if I do outcalls, I will be limited to taxi and public transportation.

 

Any advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated

Hi Zach,

 

I went to Atlanta earlier last year and had a great time. I'm not sure what the local preference is for types of guys they like to hire, but I'd expect you'd do well.

 

I stayed in a hotel in Midtown with a decent rate (either Priceline or Hotwire) and it worked out well as a location. I didn't have a car either. It's easy to walk around Midtown and it's the gay 'hood so clients are accustomed to coming there already. It's got a couple of Metro stops so is easy to get there from the airport and easy for clients to get there. I'm told Buckhead is a little less convenient in terms of the Metro but not impossible so I wouldn't rule it out, but think Midtown might be preferable if you can swing it.

 

I'd avoid staying at the airport. While it might be convenient for some guys who live that direction it might be a hassle for others. At least if you're central people can get to you from whatever direction, and there are places to walk to nearby. Plus Piedmont Park is gorgeous and you can walk there.

I'd second the suggestion made by Nate about Midtown. If you don't drive, you can also consider Buckhead, which is a nice residential area. Two weeks is a long time to spend at the ATL airport.

i've done seven very successful tours in Atlanta. absolutely not on the airport!!! I stay in Buckhead because it is north and MOST of the atl monied clients are north of the city or in decatur. However I also discovered a huge market in little towns like 25-50 miles outside the perimiter such as cartersville of all places.
