Sudden visit to Ft. Myers - any suggestions?

I'm going to Ft. Myers the middle of this month. Any suggestions

for restaurants / escorts / sights?

 

I know about Sanibel island, but not much of its specifics.

Also jetblue park for the Red Sox, but I think it's early for

spring training.

 

Any help? thanks.

While you're at Sanibel, take a peak at Captiva as well. Very beautiful.

 

I lived in Fort Myers for one year back in the mid '80s, but I haven't been back since 1989. I liked the Edison House/Museum a lot. That should still be open. I wouldn't begin to suggest restaurants -- although there used to be a great restaurant at the farmers market there. I have NO IDEA if it's still there.
