As of two days ago, I couldn't find his ad on Rentboy in Los Angeles. Maybe he's retired.

He's too young to retired. Maybe he's just busy filming, taking a break, or traveling for weeks with a client, not interested in checking his email and cellphone with requests he can't fulfill now...

This has turned into a conversation about whether to hire someone who BB with other clients or not, let's close this thread.

newtothis, I was thinking the exact same thing. I assume everyone is HIV+ whether or not someone chooses to tell me the truth about whether or not they BB.

this assumption of HIV+ is fine and dandy until the condom breaks. then it's nice to know if your guy has been honest about his status

guess that's expecitng too much these days I guess

It was always too much to expect. At least nowadays hopefully there is a chance escorts and clients are on HAART therapy if they are HIV + to make the risk of transmission very low, are using PREP if negative if they can afford it, or at the very least able to get post-exposure therapy- again if they can afford it.

shocking as it is, it ain't about some of these guys being able to afford it

its that some would rather buy the prada shoes than put it into protective medication

Hence the importance of regular testing and screening for HIV and other STDs

I don't know how it works in the US, but here in Europe in order to get the prophylaxis (PEP) you need to visit the Emergency Room ASAP or talk to a doctor in one of the STD clinics. The 30-day therapy is paid by your social security. [As a reminder the Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) is the use of antiretroviral drugs after a single high-risk event to stop HIV from making copies of itself and spreading through your body.]

The PrEP is a totally different matter. You pay the therapy out of your pocket. [Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) is a HIV prevention method in which people who do not have HIV take a daily pill to reduce their risk of becoming infected]

The condom still remains a very reliable protection against the sexually transmitted infections.
