To MY FELLOW COLLEGUES and those ROCKIN' CLIENTS,

DANNY CRUZ from NEW YORK CITY here...

This is a subject that has been touched on in the past by other escorts, but I'd really appreciate your advice.

Given that 2003 is already half over, I'm debating on where to travel and work for the remainder of the year. In 2003, I've been fortunate enough to have already visited Boston, Washington DC, Miami, Philadelphia, LA, SF, Chicago, and London.

With less than half a year left, I'd like to expand my horizons and work in other parts of the country. I was thinking of, BUT CERTAINLY NOT LIMITED TO, a few select cities in Texas and Ohio.

HOWEVER, WHAT MIGHT YOU RECOMMEND TO ME???

Again, any information you provide would be GREATLY APPRECIATED and considered...

Thanks,

Danny Cruz

Definitely come to Dallas. You'll have a great time--and so will we!! There's not a lot of natural scenery here, but the guys are hot and like to hire. Come on down!:D

Las Vegas. It has surprisingly few escorts under the circumstances and the ones who are there seem to be very busy.

I'd think Vegas would be very profitable...

Not that I'm an expert... Usually I'd say "LA!", the more selection the better... :D

But we've got something of an embarrassment of riches out here, more then I have time or $$$ to try anyway. And I've always found the selection kind of slim when I've looked for somebody I may like to try in Vegas when I'm about to visit.

I've never understood why Vegas has so few. And within that few, not much of a range of choices. A couple cute young twinks, a few guys next door (to me meaning really average build/looks, may be great though), a few others. Nothing that really made me stir last time I looked through. Bet 20's jock-types could do quite well there.

What I'd really like to hear are escort's reccomendations. Is there a reason Vegas is unpopular? Are the streets of LA and SD really paved with gold?

Merlin,

Funny, because I've been giving Vegas a lot of thought, especially since there are direct flights from New York (I hate layovers). In fact, I was thinking about first going to Denver, then Vegas.

Thanks for the tip, and I hope to meet you.

Send me your email so that I have it file.

JamesK,

I'm bewildered to know that the escort scene in Vegas is limited. I associate the desert city to be filled with tourists and businessmen, and these two types of travelers definitely hire escorts.

Would you recommend a specific time of the year to work in Vegas, and also a hotel?

Thanks for your input...

Regards,

Depending on where else you're flying you can usually get a free stop in Vegas with America West. I've done it several times.

Of course Danny....Chicago's now just another been there, done that city. :( And I put together a personal first aid kit just for you. }(

Barry,

I wouldn't totally say Chicago is only a "been there done that city." In enjoyed myself there.

Would I go back to work? Absolutely! Besides, I'd like to take you out for a drink...

Thanks for info on America West. However, I only fly American. Just call me an airline snob!

I hope you're well...

Danny-- if you do Las Vegas, why not fly over for a few days in San Francisco (again); venture to LA for a few, and from there-- "the windy city"--Chicago! That should help you round out the year. You can include Dallas if you like--Chicago...

RE: I'd think Vegas would be very profitable...

I've been thinking about why this is since I posted. Have a couple of ideas.

1st, Vegas is a surprisingly straight/conservative city. Mostly talking about those that live there, they have a bit of a southern mentality about them (and not of the smalltownjohn variety...). Plus a lot of middle-america are there on vacation and would melt down if exposed to anything much beyond risque.

2nd, it may be inherently higher risk, since most of the customers you would be meeting, it would be your first time seeing them, and no matter how much they liked you there would probably not be many return visitors, since most of the cities' population is transient. Higher percentage brand new would seem to = greater chance to get busted to me.

But as I said, I'm no expert. Never spent much time in bars, would probably be oblivious to anybody trying to advertise themselves in a bar I didn't know was specifically for that... And the city kind of defies logic anyway. For example, during big conventions, when you thing things would be busiest, many of the shows/attractions take a break.

No insights on Vegas?

Looking through the Vegas reviews, so far they are just as I remember them, a bunch of cute little twinks, some 100% average guys, and a couple built guys that are tops only. No young-ish jock/studs, overall what's left when you take out the 'no longer working' and the ones working in another city but still listed under Vegas for some reason seems like a tiny selection, maybe adequate for the full time population of the city, not taking into account the what, millions of visitors a month? Is this what happens in cities without major colleges?

Other things to keep in mind for those considering it, the cities' full time population has been growing very fast, homes are still affordable, but prices are rising. It's also very easy to drive to LA for a weekend or whatever from Vegas, and probably just as cheap to fly Vegas-LA.

Any publications in Vegas with gay escort listings? Then again, I live in LA and have no idea where I'd even find a copy of Frontiers. Regardless the internet seems to be a better way to know what you're getting.

One thing, the Escorts (oh, excuse me, entertainers... told you it was a conservative town...) section of the hotel phone book, last time I was there, seemed like a quarter of the whole book, and it was a thick book! I don't think I'd like to deal with an agency though.

Or is it that the casino/bar scene works so well that there are plenty of escorts that simply don't use the internet to find business? I don't spend much time in bars, and have trouble imagining successfully picking an escort up in a mainstream casino bar filled with middle-america.
