Found myself watching a train-wreck of a tennis match last evening...but at least the loser was not hard on the eyes. Had never seen him in other ATP events. --- name is Joao Sousa from Portugal.

I watched the match on television. For all the talk about how wonderful the night matches are at the U.S. Open, last night was more the norm - the number one seed (Novak Djokovic) easily putting away a much lower ranked player.

 

I do agree that Sousa was very cute!

The night matches during the first week are usually boring, because they showcase a top player against someone who barely has a chance, sort of like watching a Christian being torn to pieces by a lion in the Roman Forum, but it is an opportunity to at least see some new faces. Sousa is a cutie, and so is Evgeny Donskoy, whom we got brief views of yesterday as he was being demolished by Lleyton Hewitt.
