Well, the actual football photos belong to the 22 year old quarterback from SEC school. The guy in the t-shirt with the American-Indian has been widely posted on the Internet, as has the penis shot. Maybe the shirtless photo belongs to the ad poster.

Yep, it's a fake. As Scorpio said, the football photos are a college football player.

If a guy has a mirror picture that he took himself using a flip phone, it's almost guaranteed to be a fake. This is 2013. Almost no one uses those anymore, especially guys posting pictures of themselves online.

Sadly it is becoming more and more necessary.

Doesn't it cost money to put up an ad on these sites though? What I don't get is why people would pay money to put up fake listings.

It may seem crazy and impossible, but would Rentmen or Rentboy be able to hire some of the better sleuths here who check out Google phone numbers and photos, and place them through some sort of "truth filter" before placing the ad?? It would seem to be a no-brainer.

Two or three years ago when Rentmen was just getting started, I noticed a guy posting photos of a Russian escort who lived in Moscow and advertising he was here in NYC. I contacted the Russian (knew him personally), notified the guys at Rentmen, and they took down the ad immediately. This made me an immediate fan. Now when such ads are exposed it seems to take longer for the agency such as RM or RB or even M4RN to clean up the page and remove the ad (even if it is paid for).

I would simply draw up a nice contract with guys placing the ads that "If for some reason, the photos posted prove to be the property of others, or images that are not your own...blah blah... The ad will be removed with no further compensation to the one placing it."

I also wonder -- when someone here does (thankfully) discover the fakes, does anyone take it on themselves to notify Rentboy or Rentmen? It would help to pull the fake ads sooner than later.

Sure, but it's the old "bait and switch." It's successful because enough horny clients continue with the appointments even though they have been duped.

Update: I alerted the Team at Rentmen.com about this thread and provided them with the links to the photos that belong to the college quarterback. They have removed them from the ad. I am told they've offered the advertiser the opportunity to upload more accurate photos or request a refund.

Thanks Rentmen.com!!
