Denver Bathhouse

Anyone familiar with the Denver bath houses? I'll be there a week later this month and wanted to know which, if any, are good. There are 3 listed in Damron's. Any insight would be appreciated.

Of the three bathhouses in Denver probably the cleanest is the Denver Swim Club on Quebec. Of course, it's also the most expensive where you will be required to buy a 25.00 membership (unless it's gone up recently) and then 17.00 for a locker or 20.00-35.00 for a room. The men there tend to be more clean cut, but also tend to act like their from Denver. In other words they will stand around and stare at you all night if you let them. If you're nice and talk to someone though. After the initial shock that they have that those sacks of flesh walking around can actually make sounds people are nice and you can make friends easily. uhm.. YOU can make friends EASILY though in any situation I'm sure. Local thieves love the parking lot here though, stereos and contents of cars are often taken and the management makes no effort to prevent this so if you go take a cab.

 

The midtown spa is in a very old building that is still standing today only because god must be gay and wants it still up. Much less bullshit to get to action here though and if you like men that aren't all white it's the place to go. On Sunday porn stars will jack off for you too in a room with benches ... joy. This place is cheaper as you don't have to pay any membership and can get a room for around 25.00 total.

 

The CCC is in downtown Denver and if you're into drugs or people who won't remember your name after the encounter and won't remember theirs during it, it's fun too. There are younger people there then the other two places if you're into that though as I said they tend to be drugged up a bit. Although you probably don't have to go to a bathhouse in Denver to notice that younger gay people tend to be drugged. I don't know what the cost is here though. It's probably around the same as the Midtown Spa. This building is held up only because Satan is pushing on it from below.

 

Of course there are men that don't fit the mold in all of these places. I met a very nice guy that has become good friends with TJ and I at the midtown about a year ago. Another friend swears by the CCC. There is fun of a different kind to be had at all three places I'm sure.

Sounds like y'all still haven't found a truely worthy successor to the legendary Denver baths that had a 25 foot indoor waterfall in the pool, a maze of caves for a steam room and a big rig truck front, complete with sleeper, in the basement. I spent many a happy New Years Eve there! }(

You must be talking about the ballpark, everyone that has gone to a bathouse in the early 80's here in Denver waxes nastalgic whenever the word bathouse is mentioned. Nothing here comes close to what people say about it.
