Well, another fantasy shot to hell. I set up an appointment with Tyler LAST week for yesterday in NYC. I had two times open as I had an even in the evening. i told him either an early afternoon (3;30 or so) or later night (midnight). He stated either time was good so I went with early afternoon. All was set until I get an e-mail at 1:00 on monday saying he was away for the weekend and couldn't make 3;30, but could we do later in the night. In reality I should've cancelled then, but his e-mail was sincere (although I was perplexed why he booked a Monday afternoon if he knew he was going away for the weekend), so I agreed to a midnight appointment if he promised not to cancel. I have the e-mail where he said he would not cancel. I got back to my hotel at 11:40 and texted him to come on over. Silence. Midnight comes and goes. I call him and it goes straight to voicemail, and I do leave a message. I e-mail him. Still nothing. A complete no-show, no-call, no-nothing.

 

I e-mailed him this morning basically that I do not get guys like him, and that if he had no interested in meeting me--then why advertise and screw up my one night in NYC by stringing me along? He responded with this:

 

"Hey Jon, I'm very sorry. It was not personal, I decided to rest and relax around 11 before I heard from you and ended up falling asleep. My apologies. Just returned from traveling through Europe and have been jet lagged. My apologies

I might buy this more, but I think he returned from Europe ten days ago. Jet lag does not last that long.

 

I swear I am thisclose to just quitting this whole "rent-a-boy" thing. Aside from a few guys this year, it has been a disastrous past seven months with escorts. Why do they think they can jerk us around, scam us, and no-show us?? Is this not a business? There are many escorts out there who have "our" number where they can do these things and we have no recourse. And spare me the "he's only human" line. To be honest, I am not buying the whole "fell asleep" garbage as it is the equivalent of the dog ate my homework.

No show's happen. So do premature ejaculations, losing your wallet, having your electricity cut off, getting bit by dogs, and getting speeding tickets.

 

One thing you CAN'T do is control escorts any more than you can control the shit that happens on a daily basis.

 

The good thing is that there are lots of other guys to try out. I'll bet somebody else will meet your needs equally as well.

I've gotten the "fell asleep" line, too....

 

but giving up on the whole thing is too melodramatic....don't take it too seriously because it does work out much of the time (and it isn't worth taking too seriously!)....some of these more famous (?) guys like Tyler Wolf may be a little casual about keeping appointments because they're, well, famous??.....many, many guys out there are entirely reliable and just really fun to hang out with....

Dear Jon,

Please do not let this mishap form your opinion of all escorts. You are correct that it is very unprofessional to be a no show as an escort. But as posed in many other forms, the same standards should be held for clients whom decide they cant make it. They should call and or message and not be a no call no show. The jet lag comment made does seam to sound a bit odd as well as I have never had jet lag lasting ten days. Again though the actions of one should not constitute the reprimand of others. Hope you have better luck in the future and everything starts getting better. xoxo
