CockyBoys is a popular male porn website, so it may have seemed like a good idea to produce a feature film about two of the site's stars (Max Ryder & Jake Bass) and their road trip across the country. I am not sure this film belongs at a major U.S. LGBT film festival, but I did buy a ticket for Saturday night (July 20).

I shall get to the sex, but the idea behind the film is to have 18/19-year old Max and Jake talk about their lives, loves and porn as they travel across across the country, with a few adventures thrown into the mix. Just about everyone involved with the film was there, so I know Max & Jake were told to base their conversations on topics they discuss in every day life. Fine, except that few people can do that in an interesting way in five minute segments, without a script, no matter their ages.

The trip across the country is somewhat interesting, so is the sex. I particulatly liked the scenes with Jake and Cocky Boys' Levi Kanter. I might even pay for a month's subscription to see more of Levi on CockyBoys' website.

Background: Philadelphia's Qfest runs for two weeks and shows a great variety of films for the LGBT community. This is the 19th year for Qfest. Qfest and the film festival in LA run at the same time every July.

I was not offended, just mostly bored. I wonder what others think. Is a LGBT film festival the place for something that turned out to be a long commercial for CockyBoys? Or, with so many other films available to watch over two weeks was Qfest smart to give this film a spot. The theater was about half full, not great for a film shown on Saturday night. But, I did like Levi Kanter and other people may be considering a subscription as well.

looked around and I think Levi's stage name is Karter at Cockyboys, not Kanter.....oy!

I questioned the name also when I was typing. But, I had just found out that Levi (who was there last night) was born in Paraguay, and moved to the U.S. with his parents at a young age. So I took the easier choice and thought Kanter might be the name of a friend of the family, thus that screen name. I apologize. I should have double checked the spelling.
