LA is the center of the mainstream entertainment industry, with a large population of talented actors looking for part time work. (I know of several working actors who discreetly escort on the side.) It is also the center of the porn industry. Most of the American men you see in porn live there. Southern California in general has a passionate fitness culture that emits, as a by-product, tens of thousands of buffed young men annually, some of whom will have the right talents and dispositions to become escorts. I know there are actors and gyms in NYC, but in my experience it's a lot harder and more expensive to stay fit in NY than in LA.

Since LA lacks any efficient public transportation, moving further out, or anywhere really, would require owning an automobile, which in LA can be a substantial addition to a persons budget. The added cost would make housing on par with NY...IMHO

Hey guys I live in Southern California and have been hiring escorts, in the area, for the last ten plus years. I would very much like to know where one finds these talented, gym-fit actors looking for part time work escorting. They sure aren’t advertising on Rentboy or Men4RentNow as far as I can tell. Everybody owns a car in LA, if you don't own a car, don't live there. Not all cars are expensive some are a lot cheaper then others, insurance, gasoline, etc

 

In NYC unless you are on rent control an apartment costs a lot of money. If you are gay escort, you need to host, you can't live at a group house/apartment and live doing outcalls.

 

I guarantee you that renting an apt. in LA while leasing a car, it's a lot cheaper than renting an apt in NYC.

 

I also agree with veryhappycustomer about the supply of would-be-actors, pornstars, handsome guys, some of them with the stomach to fuck fat guys like most of us clients for a fee

You should start a thread about it, I wonder how often escorts turn down a client? Should a client describe himself and his hopes for the encounter with the escort?

My opinion is that smell would be the toughest thing to overcome. A client who is bossy and demanding too but that's something an escort could only find out after starting the session and not before.

I also found that comment a little amusing VHC. I actually agree with Epigonos and his assessment. I am just north of 50 something, and I can safely say that I am the best that I have ever been. I was one hot mess when I was in my 20's. I was literally in a fog. I hadn't a clue about what I wanted or who I wanted to be with. I have to say that this is a pretty good time in my life right now. Oddly enough, I've encountered escorts with objectionable BO. Twice recently in Turkey (one was an escort, the other a masseur who probably wold have given me more were we not in a hammam). The exact same pungent scent. Methinks it wasn't personal hygiene, but insufficiently laundered clothing. But it was unmistakeable.
