The title of this section of the Forum is called "The Deli: An Area to Discuss Escorts."

 

That's what the OP -- someone who hasn't been around for real long -- attempted to do with a very short, reasonable question. I don't see what all the fuss is about. I mean, seriously, I truly don't see it. At all.

 

Of all the categories within the Forum, "the Deli" is to me the essential one for being here. There are plenty of other Internet sites where I can chat politics, travel, TV shows and even sex. Hell, half the other categories in here don't see any posting activity for weeks at the time.

 

This site is for escorting, far as I can tell, and "the Deli" is where the action is.

 

If a simple inquiry about whether other Forum participants have had experience with an escort can create such a firestorm, then I humbly submit the following question:

 

WHY ARE WE HERE?

 

AND FELLOWS, I hope from this juncture of this particular thread that EVERYONE will get back to what was asked initially: our fellow poster asked a question; he deserves responses ONLY indicative as to what he

asked. Please respect the wishes and the desires of all fellow posters who ask queries here. I know almost all of mine have been answered and that the answers have helped. If you desire to give additional responses to guy's question, then just send him a private message. Perhaps that'll keep out a lot of superfluous "fluff."

 

About a month ago I expressed a keen interest in a hot escort who's in San Francisco. My thread received a lot of valuable information; one gent sent me a pvt. message containing info. just for my eyes. I truly appreciated what he did.

WilliamM, I understand that you are a friend of Rick and are upset about the vaguely negative reflection on him contained in my comment. Although Rick and Derek were members here, Rick also is/was an escort who used this site to advertise himself, so I don't think comments about him--as an escort--should be totally off-limits just because he is no longer posting in the forum.

 

In hindsight, I realize I should have PMed the OP with my comment, since I was trying simply to let him know that I had received secondhand positive feedback about Derek. I did not name my sources, since they had spoken to me privately, and when Lanky identified himself here, instead of responding here, I should have PMed him about my conversation with the other member, which I intend to do now.

Yes! Often the PM option is the best option. If there is anything that may cause some controversy, might be taken the wrong way, or for some reason I don't feel comfortable posting publicly out of respect for others (and that includes the escort) I always use the PM option. I did so just a few weeks ago and I think it helped a couple of perspective clients immensely. I did not feel comfortable posting my opinions in a public forum as they were my personal reactions to the escort's abilities and services and I felt that they needed to be placed in the proper perspective of my individual experience. I got my point across, explained why I did not feel comfortable making a public proclamation, and did not ruffle any feathers in the process.
