No More Baths in NYC....Oh, Oh, What to do!

Since the 'baths' are no longer allowed in NYC where does one go for anonymous sex hook ups?

 

In Europe I can go to the baths and sometimes have (safe) anonymous sex with varied partners, but I don't know of anywhere in the city that lends itself to this.

 

Anyone know anything?

I remember cruising Riverside Park by the soldier's and sailor's memorial...but that was years ago. Never been brave enough to sample the Rambles. The information on the WSC and the ESC is rather sketchy. What is the protocol there and what are the chances for a 'not so young and in shape' person?

Have been to ESC not WSC as i'm only average looking. Take elevator to top floor pay your fee (locker or cabin) obtain towel, shower, and cruise. It's been ages so i don't even know if it is still around. Have had quite a bit of nice non-commercial hookups there with fairly decent attractive men. I think most hookups have moved online.

Hi I appreciate the Master asking this question. The responses well not sure. The received response about try internet wasn't the response I had hoped for. I was in NYC last week and asked a similar question as I was staying in the Times Square Hotel area and didn't get some friendly advice. Since I'm not from the city and enjoy a good time I hoped for some advice. Anyhow good luck!!

Sad to say, no, no dark rooms. Not much of anything except attitude, especially at WSC. These clubs are dying because of online hookup opportunities.

And that's too bad - there is nothing quite like seeing the goods in the flesh and letting nature take its course right away. Those internet hook-ups! Hasn't anyone else been disappointed with them? Whereas, at the tubs you know right away what you're getting and getting into.

I miss the baths so badly!!! When I first moved to NYC I became an occasional patron of Man's Country, East Side Sauna and the rest. There were 4 or 5, varying in their styles, and I tried them all from time to time. The most satisfying - that is to say, deeply fulfilling in a physical sense - was an encounter I had at East Side Sauna, where I met a young African-American man with an enormous hard member in the steam room and continued things in my little room - he really filled me up!!! Of course, I was much younger back then (late 1970s to early 1980s) and so more able to catch the eye and interest of the "hot" guys. But I did enough "stuff" in the baths to assume that when HIV testing came along I would probably test positive. I was startled to test negative (and have repeatedly ever since).... There are still other cities where the baths continue to function. I think NYC still has some, but I haven't been to one in many years.

Fellow New Yorkers....no reason to fret! If you are as adventurous as I am, there is an entire network of underground and semi-underground parties and clubs where activities to please all take place.

 

You just know where to look! (HMU for additional info...)

I don't know if you're referring to the same New York underground parties that have been mentioned before (where participants use crystal meth and don't see daylight for several days). I'd be glad actually if you're referring to a different kind of "party".

I have no idea where to look for these parties, but 'HMU' means 'hit me up' ie 'contact me'.

Steven... Your point is well taken. Unfortunately, one has these days to distinguish between differing definitions of what to "party" means. I refer only to people coming together to have fun... not the "PnP" sense of the word. While, indeed, some guys may choose to use crystal, it is, happily in my experience at least, far from universal.

 

I am drug free and have a wonderful wonderful time at these parties... and I repeat my offer to tell more to those interested and who wish to Hit Me Up!
