This is coming from a client rather that a client so keep that in mind. I have always thought that $200 to $250 an hour is a good starting point. Then you can offer a afternoon or evening (about three hours) for $500 to $600. A good overnight rate might be $900 to $1,200. I'm convinced that escorts are better off charging high for a single hour and discounting additional hours, the more hours involved the greater the discount. Good luck and have fun!!!!!

I recently spoke with an escort who will not travel back to Miami due to the many no shows he experienced while there. He has done many cities and never experienced anything like it. Be careful driving the distance and having a no show.

Miami was my stomping grounds. I spoke with Tristian Baldwin and his experiences there. Like I said, I believe that (atleast from my standpoint) is that Miami was good to start off at, as there were clients in all venues from streetwork to gay.com to bars and escort sites. But even then, a lower rate sold better than a higher rate. There's lots of clients in Miami, but rates vary so much it's insane. I was on adam here in Denver and I quoted my rate, and the guy was from Miami and said he could get me for $90. I'm sure he was just being a prick, but there's truth in it.

I'm not really sure why Miami isn't a better market. When I go there, it's for fun or when a client flies me down. I'd never go just to go. I found that it's a market better designed for transgender and/or exotic looks. That's another very competitive area as well. Lots of money and condos...not alot of money to go around. Strange city.

Sadly, many American cities have no-shows and flakes. Phoenix is like that. Las Vegas and LA, are like that. Miami and Orlando are like that. Boston is like that. A Bi-product of a resistance to legitimate legalization and availability of free hookups on every corner, plus a not very promising economy just makes it hard to go anywhere in this country and be completely dandruff-free. Head and Shoulders and Selsun blue ain't got nothing on these flakes. If this were a business, a legalized business, then I can almost guarantee that people would stop referring it to paying for sex and see it just as normal as popping into the local arcade or bathhouse and PAYING FOR SEX via means of entry fee/locker room. We wouldn't have all these hookup sites/apps popping up all over the place that are really just euphemisms for prostitution.

That's why I'm so adamant about international travel. America isn't where it's at long-term.

I would think that the rates one charges anywhere depends on who/what is being marketed. Top of the line escorts can Successfully command $300 and up pretty much anywhere. I would venture to say only 5-10% of the guys advertising on RB are in that league. You have to make a realistic judgement for yourself where you sit in the pack of South Florida escorts. Are you in that elite group or the $200-$250 grouping? You have to decide that. Cheers.

I think it's all relative though. I think this relates to my other thread in providers who charge lower rates than what would be expected on RB. Anyone can command a price, but whether they get it without clients asking a different rate is a different thing. Whether they get 3-4 clients per day versus 1 client per day (or month) is a different story as well. How often will those same clients come back in the future? (of course a lower rate doesn't guarantee they'll come any more often either)

In no way am I meaning to refute what you said, as it totally makes sense, but isn't totally reality. Even top of the line escorts may go to a certain area and have to make the rates more competitive. I know in my area, no one charges $300...and sticks around for a long time. It's just not that kind of market. I do know places where I can go and make no less than $250-300 especially with couple hours. But I know I wouldn't be able to apply that just anywhere. Personally, even though I can and have gotten $300/hr, it's not a price I'm comfortable pricing myself at this moment of time simply because I know I'd be seeing less clients than I like. I rather do $500 and get taken to dinner or something.

Personally if I were in Miami again right now, I'd err on the side of being competitive price-wise regardless of how much I felt I could charge. I do see a lot of guys charging the 250+ range and lots of 300+ (of course it's high season so everything is up). Total up those and look at the guys charging a bit less, and try to find a median point. Whatever you do...definitely take 'ask' off your rates immediately. It'll save time in the long run.

Having gotten used to smaller markets so much, looking at Miami selection is frightening lol. It's like damn, you got this person traveling in over here and that person traveling in from over there. How does anyone make any money? I know an older guy in his 60s who lives out there and has decent money...this guy never hires escorts. He has exotic guys coming in and out of his house since I met him 5 years ago. 2 boyfriends at any given time. I don't know how he does it. That is a hard market out there. You're not just competing with other escorts. You're also competing with an under-ground selection of under-privileged boys 'that'll do' from all over the place who'll do whatever just to have a place to stay and a few drinks. And the guys in Miami with alot of money know that, and they take clean advantage of them. That's why they won't hire an escort.
