Pop up ads are frustrating me. Any advice?

Sometime within the past few days I've been infected with some sort of pop up ad. It's affecting Firefox and Chrome and IE. Words on any given page are highlighted and underlined. When I scroll over them an ad pops up. Any idea what this could be and how to remove it?

Run their scan/repair utility.

 

If it fixes things, IMMEDIATELY purchase a good virus scanner and keep it up to date at all times.

I had the same issue last year, despite having McAfee antivirus running. It isn't actually a virus, but malicious adware that hijacks your browsers. It's called Text Enhance & this article explains how to remove it from your browsers:
