I am looking out my window in the Midwest, watching it snow and wishing I was in Palm Springs today. I imagine I would be having a great time at the pool party as well as the other weekend "festivities", instead of my reality of another boring winter weekend. I had too many conflicts with the date this year, but really enjoyed attending last year. My best to Oliver and all of the attendees, many of whom I met last year and at the gathering in DC in January. I hope you are having fun in the sun, even though clearly, I am not.

I second your comments leeper. I was not able to go last year either, but this particular weekend just does not work for me due to other commitments with relatives.

Hi Leeper, I am here at the moment and sympathise that you could not join. It's been a great weekend. Better than I thought, and certainly made a few buddies. Everyone was pleasantly surprised to meet me and see what I'm really like in person. I'm having a great time with the other guys and hobbyists, and am thrilled to have met a number of them in person.

Be thankful for the snow...I lived 20 years before actually seeing any at all. I'll always want to live someplace that snows now. Here in Palm Springs though, you can see it from a distance :-)

Well Leeper, I feel the same way. I have chatted and gotten a couple of PM's from PS. It sounds like everyone is/had a wonderful time. PS is always fun when you can put faces with names. I opted out this year as I had just moved 3 thousand miles in the opposite direction, but I very much wish that I had gone also. Some real surprises were there and I wanted to meet some of the guys. The good news is that there is always DC and PS next year...God willing of course.
