OK, thankfully that will be one less person stoking the fire around a perfect gentleman, in my opinion, Tristan Baldwin. And, unlike some, I have met him. And, I have booked through Rick. No different, again in my opinion, than using any of the agencies that post on here from time to time. Shake it off, people. Let's move on.

Over the past few years I've contacted Tristan and/or Rik about 5 times with success in meeting Tristan only once because of his/their strange scheduling practices. My thought is, Rik won't schedule anything right away until he checks with Tristan, and this could take hours. The annoying thing is, even with Rik I don't think Tristan can keep things together. The one time I did meet him, I had a good time, not great, but good. I certainly would never rate him as "Escort of the Year" or an exceptional escort. When he finally did arrive to our "only once" meeting, he was nearly an hour late. For the most part, the encounter was fun but had a strange, rather abrupt ending blaming his new puppy that he had to get back home to CT. A few weeks later I contacted him thru text for a meeting about 4 days prior. We texted back and forth and agreed to meet again. We set a date, but not the exact time (but definitely at night), and I told him I'd be in touch once I flew in and was settled into the hotel. On the morning of our meeting I texted him but didn't hear back for many hours at which point he told me that all meetings had to be set up through Rik. WTF?! I was annoyed and told him so, because he could have saved me this annoyance if he had mentioned that days ago! It was the first time he had even mentioned it. So I immediately contacted Rik, but he took hours to get back to me (assuming he had to contact Tristan), finally telling me that Tristan was booked up until after I would already be out of the area. I was pissed and vowed never to hire him again. I don't have an exact memory of all this because I have since deleted all his info/texts from my phone. Tristan is a great guy, he was very nice to me and we had a decent enough time that I wanted to hire him on a regular basis when I was in the area. But I can't deal with how he runs his business. I guess the moral of my story is, why bother having an assistant/booking agent if you still can't keep your life/appointments straight? I'm a very busy professional myself and my time is valuable. I'm very fussy and hire out plenty and never, ever disrespect an escorts time and I certainly didn't appreciate him wasting mine in such an unprofessional manner, no matter how hot!

One last comment on Tristan keeping his appointments. Not long ago, I scheduled a meeting with Tristan thru Rik. It was set for rather late in the evening. He was to come to me, a distance of over 40 mies. Despite the fact that he was not feeling well and could have cancelled with good reason, he drove the over 40 miles to see me so as not to disappoint me. This even though he had to catch the first flight home the next morning because he had to cut short his stay by a day. Seems to me, he makes every effort possible not to diasappoint his clients

I was disappointed that Tristan had to cancel his advertised January trips to Dallas and Kansas City at the last minute too, but he was apparently very ill. While I never got to speak to Tristan directly, Rik was very cordial and professional in calling and canceling on Tristan's behalf. I understood and didn't blame Tristan since he obviously couldn't help getting sick-- it happens to all of us. I hope he's feeling better and back in the saddle, so to speak.

As we all know, there can be 1000 instances when things go right without mention, but the joy of America is that when few occurences are below what someone feels is standard, then the world will hear about it.

 

There will be no 'claws-out' defensive posture from me here, I'll say it quick and be done with it.

 

Escorting(In my inexperienced little eyes, anyhow..) is less about the nuts and bolts of a body parts interacting with one another. It's about the chemistry of personalities. When things line up well, you get dynamite. When they don't, you get flat soda. The easiest way to make sure you get plenty of the prior, and less of the latter, is by communication ahead of time. Making sure the right types of are linking up with the right types.

 

I've been very fortunate that one of the 'genres' of gentlemen that frequent my service are intelligent, successful, dominant, ASS-KICKER types. Well, guess what? Ass kickers are ass kickers for a reason- they're successful, and they're busy! They've got alot going on! And I have to give credit even to the original 'plaintiff' about me at the begining of this thread- he clearly is successful and has a ton going on- so the window of communications narrows...and when both people are in the same boat(escort and client), it's like a Ven(venn?)-Diagram- you're looking for a very narrow margin of overlap that is to be your success.

 

I've also been fortunate to have a client base of flexible, understanding clients. I bet if you asked 10 of the more popular escorts on here, 'who are your favorite guys(clients..)', the same names would continually surface- because those are the ones that really want connections to occur, and go the extra mile to accomodate it. The flip side of the coin here, is that there are some people whose schedules are too ridgid(and hey, your real work comes first, I get it! This is just play on the side..) and communications not allowed because of marital status, etc, so that connections end up becoming difficult. It's safe to sum all of this up with 'sometimes there is chemistry; sometimes there isn't." Is it really worth it to slap aggression around here? Needless.

 

As far as it 'being in the spotlight' due to EoY; I honestly wish I had never been picked for this, in retrospect. It's not that I'm not man enough to fill those shoes; anyone who has seen me knows otherwise. It simply gives those who delight in negativity more of a reason to come forward.

 

Again, kudos to the original poster for being a gentleman about it and at least saying 'Your Mileage May Vary' rather than outright vehement attracks.. My posture will be that you cannot let the naysayers detract you from trying to do the small things that cheer up big people. I've grabbed clients at airports, driven on no sleep to honor an appointment even though I had a flight out early the next AM...and didn't neccessarily want or need to take it... I'm not a knight in shining armor, and am certainly not perfect- but anyone who truly knows me here knows that I really am trying to make as many people happy as possible. There's only so thin you can spread the jelly before you're eating bare toast. The secret is apparently knowing when to stop certain mouths from eating and concentrating on the ones you do have.

 

Final thought- in my estimation, the reason this generates so much heat, positive or negative, boils down to accessibility. I've opened alot more to the forums, and to clients, then most escorts, I'm guessing. You see pictures of me at home and I've hosted some of you at my house...you hear my ups and downs with my dogs, depression, what-have-you. Bottom line, is that even with Rick helping on phones, there is more access to me than the average guy...so either the expectations are raised accordingly or it's just that much more public.

 

Gonna just go on doing my thing, hope to see many of you at the Palm Springs weekend. Make your judgements in person, not over a forum thread.

To everyone else, this has been an informative thread for sure. I was one of the early reviewers for Tristan; like others who have gotten to know this man, I can testify with assurance that he is hotness personified, really smart and engaging, and a nice guy. He is not a full-time escort, as he has other business ventures and a lot of friends and family to whom he devotes a lot of attention.

 

Rick (or Rik?) has done a good job and has brought order to Tristan's schedule. But neither Rick nor anyone else can clone Tristan so that all the potential clients can have the wonderful Tristan Experience that the repeat clients (like me) have had.

 

So life is complicated, and instant gratification is not always possible. But the best things in life are typically those that we as clients have to invest some time and patience in.

what a credit to the biz Tristan is and what a stand up guy. Every client I have ever seen who has met Tristan has nothing but good things to say about him. It is unfortunate that we as escorts cannot get to every possible client. Exactly....and deception in hiring works both ways. There are countless stories of clients who have scammed escorts, refused to pay them, lied about what really wanted, put escorts into dangerous situations, shorted them there due fee...etc.

I have met up with Tristan many times over the years and think he is one of the classiest guys I have ever had the opportunity to hire. By having Rik do his organizing (which he does amazingly well), he has been able to concentrate on the things that matter, his sanity and the client's needs. I know it sucks when cancellations occur, but these are few and far between and knowing Tristan the way I do, I'm sure they are unavoidable or because of situations none of us have all the facts on. I will continue to see Tristan whenever I can and for those naysayers out there, you don't know what you are missing out on!
