Yes, even I would say that this is going too far. He should have invested in noise-cancelling headphones instead. Those would have been cheaper than his upcoming legal bills.

Please understand this comment carefully - I actually hope the allegation is true because it scares me to think a mother would make up what this guy did. Can you imagine being the guy who is accused of such poor behavior and being innocent? Arrested, name all over the paper, suspended from work and of course in the United States we are far better at perp walks and getting headlines when someone is arrested than the last page small paragraph in the corner if someone is subsequently found innocent or charges dropped. Remember, I believe his name is Dominick Strauss Kahn (or something like that), who was believed to be a contender to run for the President of France? I'm not sure he was a complete angel but the perp walk in handcuffs, huge dollars spent on home confinement to avoid waiting in prison for the trial and equal or bigger dollars on lawyers - and then the prosecutor drops the charges.

This happens every day of the week. It may be regrettable but it's a part of life. People are accused of things all the time in which they are later found not guilty. Although, let's remember that "not guilty" doesn't mean "innocent." Those are two completely different things.

This is the story as it was reported. I don't think things shouldn't be reported because they might not be true. Who is to judge that?

As for DSK, that guy is as low a piece of pond scum as exists. The charges were dropped, that doesn't mean they weren't true or that he wasn't guilty of some pretty disgusting behavior (which only came to light as a result of these initial charges). I'm not shedding any tears for him.

Apparently, it was the "N" word. Right up there with the "C" word for political incorrectness. Even I shudder with both of those.

Pretty bad but I think "censoring" ANY word in the context of a news story is completely and utterly ridiculous. I'd never use the "n" word unless in this kind of reportage but I must admit I have occasionally used the "c" word because I think it is quite appropriate when describing certain people. No other word does them justice.

I love how that particular word is censored but, apparently, no other word is. Remarkable. Seems incredibly immature to me. IMHO.

It's not censored in the story the OP provided a link to.

1. Never said they shouldn't be reported. Part of the US life doesn't mean its right. I believe in France perp walks aren't allowed. Get back to us if you're ever in that position and let us know how it goes for you. I've never been but have the ability to think longer than a minute and including wondering how the other person might feel.

2. You must have a personal relationship with DSK and apparently know things to be fact maybe others don't. Every house should have a mirror.

3. Don't need any education that "not guilty" doesn't necessarily mean "innocent". Some people think they are smart, others are.

4. Maybe dry decaf, scotch or reading something more than once before tapping away.

Because the last thing we'd need is a member of the gay community having done such a reprehensible and disgusting thing.

Why? What reflection would it have on all gay people, any more than it does on all white men? Did Christopher Dorner represent the "black community"? Do pedophile priests represent all Christians? I think we should see people as individuals and not as representatives of whatever group(s) you place them in.

It took me less than 15 seconds of looking before I found a relevant post for this gif
