Season 1 Rome was remarkable. Season 2...Meh. Season 2 focused MUCH too heavily on Click and Clack, Tom and Jerry, . Also disappointing in Season 2: Midway they recast Octavian, unnecessarily. The "younger" actor (not in fact much younger) is gifted, and could have continued the role easily, playing older and wiser. However, Season 2 there is an extraordinarily beautiful slave. I'm not much for young guys, and I'm definitely not one for the pretty ones, but I gotta admit, he was a stunner. If you search through the MC you'll see I unearthed the actor's name, I'm too lazy to do it again.

thanks, citylaw, for the suggestions....I tried "The Big C" for a couple or three episodes, as suggested a while ago, but it didn't bite me....also suggested a while ago was "Weeds", which did bite me and I'm now waiting for the final season to come up on netflix (in February) after smoking thru all the prior seasons....

 

The Big C grows on you a bit, but it's at the bottom of my list of favorites. Forgot about Weeds ... loved it!
