Posting Pic In Thread

HELP ME PLEASE, I have been trying for weeks to post a pic to any thread I post. Everytime I try all I get is the box with the red X. What the hell am I going wrongx(

What is it you're doing, exactly?

Going into user menu, edit your profile then type in the pics name then .gif in the avator image

That's not what you need to do. Your pic has to already be uploaded someplace else on the internet & you enter its URL there.

This has been covered in several different threads in Daddy's Place. Have you checked there?

Typing .gif will only work if the file is, in fact, a .gif file. You can't arbitrarily change this. (If you were reading the FAQ, it uses a .gif as an example. Another common file extension is .jpg.)

 

Some thoughts: if you're linking to a page instead of a pic, that won't work. Some websites won't allow you to link to their images. You can't link to an image on your own computer hard drive. And you have to post the entire url, beginning with http://.

 

How about this: post here what you're typing in your profile and let's see if we can identify the problem.

Don't forget to disable your Personal Firewall in order to see your picture ;-)
