The 2013 Grammy nominations were announced, and to the surprise of the Tween world, NO bieber and NO New Direction. While they are 2 of the hottest acts in the biz right now, the Grammy academy didnt show them any love. However, Love was bestowed on newer artists like Frank Ocean, Gotye, and the "We are Young" group Fun... as well as vets like Kelly Clarkson and of course, Ms Taylor Swifty.....

So whats up with the Snub Grammy's ???? Some are saying its jealousy and envy. some are saying over-saturation and hype.... Why were these "pretty boys," who certainly are bringing in the bucks for the producers, SNUBBED ????

Whats your take on Grammy Snub Gate ????

Well, their supposed to honor quality/best, not popular (insert joke here) so that's why Bieber was left out. He sucks. However, the snub of ONE DIRECTIOn is unbelievable. They're really good. I suspect it's Simon Cowell/Brit backlash.

Time will tell how much staying power he has, but Bieber still has plenty of time to win a Grammy. I read somewhere that even if he never does he would still be in relatively good company. It stated that The Beach Boys, Diana Ross, The Who and Queen have never won a Grammy.

I'm with you OL.. Who cares about Justin Bieber? (unless you're a teenage girl, or play one on TV) :D

The Grammy's have a much older voting block and they have never liked giving nominations to the latest and hottest young bands. So this should be of no surprise to anyone. And if you say, what about Adele? She was universally loved by all age groups including the much older voting Grammy academy.

I am continually amazed at the hatred and jealousy towards Bieber. He's 19.

He is a celebrity who looks like a lesbian chick. Making fun of celebrities is our national pastime-he makes millions and drives around in fancy cars. I doubt he cares about what some anonymous schmuck on the internet thinks of him.

I'm sure he doesn't care, however, I'm still amazed at the hatred and jealousy.

You're a better student of human nature than this comment reveals - wouldn't you agree that every successful or outstanding or reputable person has some degree of haters who denigrate the nature of their success?

It's only a matter of numbers between the haters in a small social group and the haters of an internationally famous person. Seems to me the more polarizing the person, the more vocal the haters, but seriously, no one ever did anything that pleased the entire group aware of that person.

I would submit to you that Bieber draws hatred from not only his pubescent look (which may or may not be hormonally managed at this point) to his adolescent voice, to the volume of sales generated by Justin Bieber Incorporated. Those marketing guys aren't focused on the whole population but are targeting their marketing to maximize profits. And why the hell not?

I'm not a listener to Mr. Bieber's music - frankly, I would suggest targeting his music at 50+ YO Gay White Males isn't going to earn him a bunch of money - but I can respect that he and his managers have exploited his name, looks, sound and products to a great degree and have been rewarded for their efforts. I could hate his success or respect his success or just say "Meh".

I say "Meh". If someone wants to burn a bunch of neurons and calories hating Mr.Beiber - that's their personal weakness, and their small mindedness.

She also had/has talent. Something Bieber doesn't have.

So anyone who decries the lack of talent in a performer making millions of dollars and points that out is a "hater?" Jeez. Get a new pair of dentures, man.

Well, he's 18, not 19. As to the truth of the first sentence here, you be the judge:

Hatred? Jealousy? You need a new dictionary. I can't possibly hate him, I don't even know him. But I do find him grotesque but that has nothing to do with hate.

Throwing out the "grotesque" label on this forum, in relation to a teenage boy making making money without shooting someone or beating them up is bizarre.

Now back to the "do you like it when an escort rims you" thread.
