I know there is one but my poor brain doesn't see it...Help!!x(

This works EVERY time!. Please try it and be in shock along with me!

OUT TO DINNER MATHEMATICS This is pretty neat how it works out.

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST.

It takes less than a minute.......

Work this out as you read.

Don't cheat and read the bottom until you've worked through it!

This is fun!

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have dinner out. (try for more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be bold)

3. Add 5.

4. Multiply it by 50 - I'll wait while you get the calculator................

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1753.... If you haven't, add 1752..........

6.. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number .

The first digit of this was your original number (I.e., how many times you want to have eat out each week.)

The next two numbers are...

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it IS!!!!!)

They say THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2003) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS. IMPRESSIVE, ISN'T IT?

You're making me go back to college math courses, and I am going to sound inarticulate...

Represent the number you chose with A. The equation works out to either 100A + 2003 - birthdate or 100A + 2002 - birthdate.

Therefore, the last 2 digits will be your age (2003 - birthdate or 2002 - birthdate); the first digit will be the original number (if less than 10). If you chose 10 or greater, the first 2 digits will be that number. Because you multiplied your original choice A by 100, it allows 2 spaces at the end to be filled by your age.

Wow! Your high school math teacher would be VERY proud of you! I am even more impressed with your use of "QED". You must have enjoyed Geometrical proofs in high school, huh? For those who are not mathematically inclined, or who may have blocked all of your knowledge of math out of your mind as quickly as possible, Q.E.D. is a latin abreviation for "Quod Erat Demonstrandum" (Which Was to Be Demonstrated) and is often placed at the end of mathematical proofs. Very well done!

I think that's why adding 5 is there. Otherwise you would see right away that you are multiplying by 100 (first by 2 and then by 50).
