I daresay that, as a block of marble, Michaelangelo's "David" did not appear to have much possibility as a work of art until the master worked his magic upon the thing. That is, the "IT" was innate but dormant in the stone and had to be summoned up by an experienced hand. And, too, the model's posted "tongue" pic might be indicative of an adventurous spirit.

What you say might be true enough, I however have neither the time, nor bank account for such a project. Miichaelangelo on the other hand had both. I will admit that the boy is cute in his presentation, and I have no doubt that others here will find him worthy of their attention....

Or, perhaps a nice top coat and an introduction to somone in the "industry" who could be of assistance to him in realizing his ambition. At 5'9" he would not be suitable for runway work as he does not "measure up" in stature to the present standard of 6'+; of course, he could do print work, but, that is highly competitive. I have only had experience with one lad who made a "real" career of being a "legitimate" model, and, of course, dozens of models linger poolside at Casa Malinka awaiting discovery and fame and fortune. In my experience, you cannot ask more of a person than he has to give, and, one should be cautious of hubris in undertaking to "make" a man as it can lead to an unhappy ending for everyone "down the road".

Um...this is a beautiful young man. Nice classic bone structure and a body that looks toned and defined without being "politely 'roided." It's a shame that today's modeling industry has so few jobs for people of normal height. :(

Oh well. I'm a short, fat broad. WTF do I know?

being tall and naturally muscular will never go out of style. models are tall because short and rotund don't make clothing look good. broad shoulders, tapered waist and square jawline are the usual suspects when you look at any designers run way shows

from an escort I know who used to do run way modeling, he told me that they won't even look at you these days for walking unless you're at least 6'1"

appears that I got some angry private message due to what I said here. it really wasn't that personal tyro. you need to settle down buckaroo

at the core of modeling, it's about the product, not the model. if a model doesn't have the proper build to show off the clothing, then they're useless. as I said before, tall and proportionate never go out of style.

You were right! The kid is too short and probably too muscled to be a model. Agencies will not even look at wannabes shorter than 1,83-1,85 no matter how good looking they are. And even if he had the height I doubt he would work. There are so many boys with the right height and much better looking. If you think that I am too hard on the kid, you have never seen the hundreds of gorgeous models queuing in Milan or Paris during the FWs waiting for an audition. The kid will waste his time fooling himself that he is a model spending his money for tests and portfolio prints.

There are literally 1,000s of wannabe models with the right height, the right bone structure, the right face ... and most of them will never make it. What the RobberBaron alluded to, I think, is that the right 'introductions' to well placed people in the industry are essential. Without that, slim to no chance of success. Nobody ever looks THAT good. It's all about the right introductions. And, without saying, about the proper preparation for such introductions.
