I see on Rentboy there are 33 escorts in Manhattan that are currently online and "active" this afternoon, despite the storm. I guess its just like the post office, "neither rain, nor sleet, nor gloom of night..." these boys will still deliver.

Well they more or less have a captive audience, so why not capitalize ? afterall, maybe a client lives around the corner, is bored with nothing else to do but get fucked today, so perfect for the escort with also nothing to do...and bills to pay. Its kismet....

Well if one sees escorts as "service providers" in their work, even during severe weather conditions, there are those needing to be provided for (bad syntax).

I used to be amazed at the working guys in Amsterdam available during horrible cold, snowy winter nights. BUT the positive side or silver lining came in hiring a guy during such awful weather. I'd invite him for an hour or two; weather worsened; escort asks if he can stay over in the warmth of the hotel room (with room ervice); client says, "Sure" and I ended up getting an overnight visit for the added cost of dinner and breakfast!

Now sort of wish I was stranded in Manhtten and could invite a hot guy over to keep me warm, especially when the lights eventually go out! Seems like a nice romantic way to spend a cold, horrible night. Better still, to invite any guys who are without clients to come over for a sort of group scene -- provide loads of hot and nutritious food, drinks, and condoms and have warm blankets strewn on the floor, and lots of warm towels for hot showers...

I just came back from Miami, in which I flew roundtrip from last week. Hotel prices on South Beach on the weekends after AUG/SEPT can get pretty close to New York's. I'd be livid if I was stuck in either place due to a hurricane and had to spend 2 extra days in a hotel and not have any clients.

Looking at hotwire though, doesn't seem to be any shortage of rooms in NYC. And certainly no stuck in NYC specials either.

There have been reports of hotels doubling their prices for guests whose flights were canceled and needed to stay over another night...or two.

I heard they did the same thing on 9/11. Very sad to take advantage of a disaster.

Others had to firce evacuate guests to other hotels, and most have no power. Saw that one or two escorts on my bucket list are stuck in NYC and would have loved to open my apartment to them free of charge but now have no way of contacting them with Rentboy down!

Perhaps if you named names, someone on here will have either a phone number or email address?

Oh my God, I just noticed rentboy IS down. This is some 2012 stuff right here...like foreal. The movie was right.

It's Tuesday, 30 October, 2012, 7:19P in California. As I sit at my computer and viewing this site, I'd wanted to write a review about the very hot experience I had last

night while I was in San Francisco. I'd wanted to quote one line from the escort's ad; unfortunately, as Joey mentioned, http://www.rentboy.com is down. I can't get it through

googling or from my "favorites'" section. Guess the review will have to wait. Hope my words come back to me while I am composing the text or the experience.

Lower Manhattan neighborhoods got socked hard. Midtown and northern neighborhoods only took on rough weather for a couple hours. Once the worst had passed you could sit inside and watch the news coverage largely rehashing the same information with incremental updates, or you could go out and have some fun. Cabs were running.

I paid $500 plus taxes each night at The Plaza Athenee on 64th and Madison. It was about normal for that level of hotel.

On a side note, I really don't like the hotel. It's dark like grandma's house and really not comparable to the Mark Hotel which I love.

The electricity is down. Not even super human hooker sites survived below 39th st.

Apparently, most residents have left my (huge) apartment building and are now staying at hotels or with other people. Con Ed says the lights should be back on by 11 AM on Saturday, but who knows?
