This escort, reviewed on this website as Danny has been running rentboy ads as "Advertiser: CHAD 21, N. Dakota COWBOY" and before that as "Advertiser: CHAD 21 - NEW TO LAS VEGAS" a former firefighter with a whole set of different pictures and a phone number of 331 684 4124. This was obtained when he responded to me with the following "Call me when you're here. 702 752 6778". So that number led me to his review and rentboy ad.

I have no idea why these people are playing these games or what they hope to get out of it but I am sure a little fed up with it. The 'real' escort looks nothing like 'Chad' nor is he someone who I would be interested in hiring. Note the 'Chad" ad has been taken down just a few moments ago!

Down-to-B:

I share your frustration 100%. I can share with you some comments from an escort I knew who posted fake reviews and fake pictures. He was supercilious and giddy about the whole issue. He didn't care. He just wanted to "hook" some clients, get his foot in the door, and see who might re-hire him a few more times. He didn't show his face picture (ever) and in my opinion was not attractive. He is supposed to be a forum/DR "favorite" of sorts (although he also posted raves about himself, so I'm not even 100% sure about this). I won't mention his name. I think the similar behavior must go on amongst businesses that post fake reviews on various consumer websites. Other forum members have delivered cautions and philosophies in very useful and insightful ways elsewhere.

BigValboy,

I agree with you. It would seem logical that if all consumers/buyers "boycott" the scammers, they would eventually stop. I can't cite statistics, but why does this problem seem to be so prevalent a complaint on the forum? I can only think that there is an ever-increasing pool of new and naive "buyers" every year which exceeds the number of "old hands" (forgive me, everyone!).

One problem: often, if one "names a name" on the forum, they get criticized or brow-beaten an awful lot by others. I know this forum generally aims for a positive view of escorting, or at least how to improve/professionalize this unique world, and many members often offer to share scam experiences more by private messages. I went public myself with some scams only after one of our wisest members, Charlie, made it clear that this was the best route in order to help others.

There are those that are trying to scam but there are also those that feel the need to use others pictures in order to be very discrete, and their intent is not to scam (although many may still see it as such). I have in the past year had two experiences where the guys who showed up did not use their own face pics. One was similar enough that I would not have even noticed had he not brought it to my attention. The other guy was more noticeable and I would have not gone through with it but he had been given high recommendations by at least two members here on the forum. Both turned out to be exceptionally good experiences and they delivered outstanding services. So on principle I probably should have turned them away but took the decision not to and it turned out ok in these two cases. Perhaps this happens quite often and in addition, the little head makes the decision for the big head so people aren't turned away that often.
