I always try to convince my hire that we should BOTH have a thorough (and sexy) shower so hat I can personally clean him down THERE before my mouth goes anywhere near it...I too am just as squeeky clean).

Sounds like sex with Clorox. Yuck!

For me ass-scent is the point. If I want the taste of soap, I'll suck on a bar of Ivory. The taste of soap, or any scent of perfume, DOES NOT TURN ME ON.

Unfortunately, we live in an age where we can't behave like piggish porn stars and deny that consequence exists. STD's are a gamble that come with every encounter.

The "hire" is "sex".

Some of us understood your point, and didn't think you were bashing the profession.

I DO hope that you don't think that a STD goes away with a good and through shower.....

It doesn't go away, however hot water and some anti-bacterial non-scented soap won't hurt either. It's a personal hygiene question.

Perfume and strong fragrances are, on the other hand, a turn off for many.

But I have adjusted my hiring practices. I will continue to hire select well-reviewed escorts, or escorts for whom a trusted friend may recommend. However, when I review an ad, particularly rentboy ads since there are categories for drugs and safe sex practices, if the escort does not affirm safer sex practices and a drug-free encounter in the ad and in our communications, then I will not schedule him for an appointment.

I hope this works out for you jawjeteck. However, in my experience, just because an escort is well-reviewed and/or advertises or affirms safer sex practices doesn't mean he won't try to do exactly what your newbie escort did. On three separate ocassions during the past 12 years, three different (well-reviewed, safer-sex advertising) escorts pulled the exact same scenario with me. One of whom, we had again discussed safer sex practices before we started while we were laying out the condoms and lube on the night stand. Or how about the well-reviewed, safe-sex only top that I saw put on a condom while we were face to face only to at some point to remove it after my back was ilterally turned. Fortunately, I could fill the difference and stopped him.

So I hope your hiring adjustments work out for you, but just be aware that it may still happen again.

Scorpio, the claims you make are quite serious and alarming.

The term "well-reviewed" has been mis-interpreted and abused too many times here. Would you consider writing a review about your three experiences you mentioned above?

When I used the term "well-reviewed", I'm talking about escorts each with well over a dozen positve reviews (at the time I hired them) that had been talked about positively in these forums at one time or the other.

The expiration date for writing reviews on these incidences has long since past. The three incidences with the bottoms happened at various times during the HooBoy era. The bottoms no longer escort; although one of the bottoms has had his barebacking activities all ready revealed in these forums and his subsequent ads - post HooBoy. The incident with the top happened about 5 or 6 years ago. The top advertised bareback activities in ads at various times subsuqent to my hiring him, which has been discussed here in the forums as well. But at the time I hired them they advertised as safer sex only. Yes, I should have reviewed them at the time and didn't that's a moot point at this late date....but it doesn't negate the point I was making to jawja.

My point to jawjateck was not to be lulled into a false sense of security just because an escort has reviews and makes certain affirmations about only practicing safer sex. It's no guarantee that they won't or don't bareback just like his newbie hire did.

I agree that a guy may try to do something contrary to his advertising, and I know that positive reviews carry no guarantee of a safe, satisfying encounter. All I can do is adjust my hiring practice so that I do not hire guys who advertise that they are ok with drugs/disease, and do not re-hire guys that prove to me in person that they are ok with drugs/disease.

Bottom line.....based on the advertising I see in today's marketplace, I will be hiring less. Safe, clean options are a declining share of active ads.
