Wow, rocky, I really have to disagree with you. I'm not advocating that we judge whether Armstrong goes to heaven or hell. Yikes! that's definitely not my call, or any other human being's. But I have a big issue with your moral equivalency argument. So an escort lying about his age or using out-of-date pictures is somehow equivalent to Lance Armstrong's use of performance-enhancing drugs to win 7 Tour de France's?? He denied honest cyclists (don't know how many there were because it seems doping was rampant in that era, but that's another discussion) the titles, fame, prize money, and income. But far worse is that Armstrong used all his wealth and power to destroy the lives of his accusers. He destroyed Greg LeMond's bicycle company when LeMond refused to back down from his accusations of doping. Armstrong threatened to make his teammates' lives a legal hell if they didn't recant their testimony. Armstrong used the UK's strict libel laws to sue Emma O'Reilly (the assistant who transported the PEDs across international borders) for far more than she was worth. And that's not even the complete list. Armstrong's actions are contemptible, and he deserves all the criticism and condemnation he's getting.

 

As for the fun I have with the occasional stripper or escort, I don't see that as immoral or unethical. I am respectful and kind to them, and always treat them as human beings, as I would want to be treated. In exchange, they make a few, or more than a few, bucks. Oh sure, a few Bible-thumpers will condemn me, but their condemnation rolls off me like water off a duck's back. Strippers and escorts are better off after meeting a good client.
