Did SO many overnights at the Bel-Air back in the day. LOVED that hotel. Very very very disappointed with the redo. I understand why they did it--so they could fire the union workers and restyle it so that the grandchildren of the patrons won't stay away--but I just think it's kind of tacky now. It's in Bel Air after all, not Trousdale.

 

Years and years ago I remember my upper lip smelling distinctly of ball sack and crotch after I'd met with someone at the 4-Seasons Doheny hotel (I guess he somehow distracted me so much in the shower I forgot to wash my face), and I looked down the line of others in business suits waiting for their cars and wondered and doubted if any of their lips smelled similarly. I scrubbed up at home.
