The kit includes information about hooking up a helium tank, so it's not carbon dioxide poisoning. I'm not sure how quick or unpleasant that would be, but I'm guessing the point of using helium is that it's NOT unpleasant.

UPDATE: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide_bag

Sorry, you're right. Although helium is apparently growing difficult to obtain—N2 apparently does the same thing and there's plenty of it.

Not exactly silly, bcohen. It's just that it seems, to me, a bit much to come here and have all of this psychoanalysis going on.

I'm OK with the psychoanalysis but I'd like to know why bcohen always asks these questions but never offers his own answer. I mean, does bcohen fear a painful death? Does he fear answering and revealing something about himself? Why or why not? Discuss.

Listening to a programme on NPR I heard a Roman Catholic bishop tell the story of his 92 year old grandmother who came to his consecration and when asked what she had been doing, replied ""Going to funerals and having the time of my life." When questioned she explained that getting together with old friends telling stories, eating, drinking, etc., etc. was a great way to spend time. The bishop asked her if death wasn't something she wanted NOT to think about and she replied;

"Dying is a privilege and I am looking forward to it."

The story gave me a new perspective on how people of different ages approach the end of their lives. The very old may very well look forward to the "end" while youngsters cannot imagine the world without them.

Perhaps the replies to this thread and others reflects the ages of the posters. I can certainly understand why a person in his twenties would find threads about death and dying and diseases boring and "silly" and why those of us nearer to the end of our lives would read them with interest and identify with the posters and the content.

There are threads I read, those that I read and reply to and those I just ignore.

Plus saying my farewells like a chipmunk would put everyone in a much brighter mood. http://www.maleescortreview.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif
