Funny you should mention this today, as I am contemplating canceling membership. They are always trying to up sell you some service. I haven't logged on in weeks.

BTW thanks for the article Max....

If you change your location to somewhere outside the US, you can look at pics for free. You can also find free trial coupons at times if you google "Manhunt Coupon" and they will last anywhere from 5 days to a month.

Thanks for the info...in all fairness, I did have a couple of seriously hot guys contact me, but I was a little intimidated by their looks and after several emails back and forth, I opted not to make a connection.

Oooh, it's eerily prescient.

My bad, I didn't look at the date—I saw it was on the site today so I thought it was recent.

Date aside, and I noticed that too, back in 2008 Manhunt was reportedly cashing in some 20M per year and growing. As major sponsors to most of the "popular" big-themed parties, still today, from coast to coast, it's my belief that Basile and Crutchley were (still are) attempting to build a business empire on the backs of horny young gay men. I don't personally think that there's anything wrong with that either.

They grew the MH site into more than just hook-ups, video chats, etc., when they introduced the fake (think bait-bus) hook up porn they started producing marketing as REAL MH member hook-ups. How could anyone have ever believed that one?

Anyway, I don't think they are any better or any worse than any other hook-up site. Their technology has grown over the years and it's generally a very smooth and user-friendly website. One of the owners contributed a large sum of money to a GOP candidate some years ago, but I'm personally not going to mix politics with hook-up sex websites.

What might make it (and all others like it suck) is the way many of us gay men portray ourselves to one another and behave toward one another while looking for a sex partner online.

No technology, ever, will ever clean that mess up. Not in anyone's life-time.

Manhunt is my principle site for hooking up...It works better for me than all the others I've tried...Adam4adam, silverdaddies, barebackrt, and craigslist....granted it takes more time than seems necessary to get a hookup but that is the guys on the site not the site...and still better than the other sites....I find being direct and pull the trigger sooner saves a lot of silly games...basically..."interested or not?"...granted my block list is getting huge...lol

I cancelled my Manhunt membership last year. It just seemed like to me that the same guys were online all the time. I rarely had a fun hook-up from Man-hunt--the vast majority of the men I met off MH were fakes.
