Unless I got the wrong info DISH Satellite is dropping AMC

 

Being as MadMen and other Shows are extremely popular I'm thinking DISH is looking for more as usual $$$$ !

They've tried this kind of tactic before.

I don't know the details here, but such threats are pretty common around contract renewal time. I remember Time-Warner & Disney battling a few years ago.

 

Somehow, they always seem to reach a compromise, after a lot of public finger-pointing and attempting to enlist viewers on 'their' side. (and I doubt that EITHER can afford not too!)

Yes indeed... I believe at that time one of their Packages included Paying for Disney and the "Adult Only Households" (No Rug Rats) did not like Paying for a useless to them Program.

 

The same thing applied with the "Non Sports Households" (Baseball) who did not want to Pay for the Yankee Broadcasts!
