I just heard a radio report that the ground controllers have lost contact with the Columbia before landing, and NASA has declared an emergency.

More poetic irony - I just heard on CNN that some of the debris of the Shuttle bearing the Israeli war criminal went down in Palestine, Texas! Is this a Hollywood script? First NASA had to contend with the moon landing conspiracy theorists, now this ....!}(

I weep for all 7 of the INNOCENT astronauts.

 

Israel certainly is not entirely innocent, but anything they've done pales in comparison to the actions of the Palestinians and other sympathetic Arabs. Easily 75%+ of the blame for all the problems in the area fall squarely on the Palestinians/Arabs. Everything that has gone on goes back to Arab refusal to accept Israel in the late 40s. If they'd followed the UN plan and not immediately declared war on Israel, the Palestinians would have their own state, and things would likely be significantly better in the region.
