That doesn't quite come across as 'pleading' to me, but perhaps he needs the money. And he may well have interpreted 'let me check my schedule' as a blow-off.

 

Still, if it makes YOU uncomfortable, that's the important issue.

I believe you are right; he probably really needs the money. I have meet over 20 guys in the business and never had a bad Vibe before. Perhaps he is just young, but obviously he is not using his pictures.

I agree with seeker; I, too, read your "check my schedule" response as a blow-off, and his reply didn't seem like pleading. He may well be young and/or inexperienced or nervous. But if this were a scam, I would expect a much more polished response than he sent you.
