Just a head's up to all of you who may use Microsft Outlook (NOT Outlook Express)....

Outlook 2000 ran out of holidays on 1/1/2003 so Microsoft released a patch that installs the newer year's holidays.

They got a few of 'em wrong. Among other things, they list May 5th as US Independence Day. (Maybe they were thinking Cinco de Mayo?)

They revoked the patch and issued a new one, and that one is no better. It gets tax day wrong (among others). The one "holiday" I DON'T want anxiety about is tax day!

3rd paties stepped in and started issuing their own patches that put the holidays where they think they should go, but nobody has it quite right yet. Your best bet for now is to do nothing. Do not install. Ignore.

Let it settle for a few weeks. Until then, do without holidays on your Outlook calendars. Doing without is better than having them wrong.
