Show time is 7:00 pm to 4:00 am. Shuttle service will be available from Liquid Lounge in Ybor. Some of the dancers will be returning, and there will be some new dancers for our viewing pleasure. There is a two page ad in this week's Hotspots magazine.

Just got home... not a bad night. It wasn't as busy as the first time they did this. There was a nice mix of twinks and muscle. Definitely something for everyone. I didn't plan ahead again and got stuck drinking Beck's all night. Ugh. I don't think I'm an alcoholic, but damn this just isn't as fun sober!

 

The Skin events totally remind me of Swinging Richards in Miami - nice club, great lighting, great music and sound... top notch talent... and the pricetag to go with it. Private dances ($25/song) are not private. For privacy, you need to drop $150 for 15 minutes in the "champagne room." You're already paying a $15 cover, $10 if you want a wristband that lets you wander into the "VIP" area or champagne room. Non alcoholic beverages run about $5. So I basically dropped $100 tonight and left sexually frustrated lol. Not cool.

 

The Skin announcer is annoying, but other than that - an enjoyable night that cost way more than it should. But they don't have any competition in this town, so they can pretty much charge what they like.

A very entertaining evening. Started off with sexy Jose pouring $3 Long Island Ice Teas at Liquid. Took advantage of the free shuttle that continuously ran back and forth to Skinz. It was great to see Ace Hanson there. Forgot how BIG this guy is. And, I've never seen him when he's let his chest hair grow out. WOOF. Really nice guy. Found a couple of dancers that caught my eye. The guy with the long hair was REALLY interesting, but someone else was my target. Really wanted the Champagne room experience. Yes, a bit pricey, but the price structure is set by the club, not by Liquid. That is the only down side. The $150 rate was split: $100 to the dancer and $50 to the club. I don't think a thing about dropping that and more in Montreal or Ft. Lauderdale. Yes, I do prefer the so-much-a-song dance, but that is not Skinz policy. Am I glad I checked out the Champagne room. HELL yeah!

Oh I'm sure it's Skin's price scale... but the point of the boards is to describe the scenario so anyone interested can get some 411 before they go. I'm not biased. I don't have some allegiance to Liquid or Skin. I don't know the owners/managers... I'm just a customer. So there's no need for me to give them a pass on being overpriced.

 

I'm just saying it's among the most expensive of the clubs we discuss on these boards. $175 (assuming you don't buy any drinks or tip) for 3 or 4 songs of fun is pretty pricy compared to Montreal, Ft. Lauderdale, etc.

 

That said, it's nice to have this closeby. If they keep doing these events, I'll keep going. I'll just know that I need to leave the club (annoying) to get some buzz going or pre-game. And hit the ATM to take out a few extra Ben Franklins if some out of this world guy is available.

 

From what I understand, having fun at Liquid itself is much cheaper. I really haven't been there often - the few times I've gone in the guys weren't really good looking. Now if the guys who worked Skin that night were at Liquid, I'd be a regular!

If I understood the posts above, you pay $150 for 15 minutes in a room (a price which apparently includes the dances, correct me if I'm wrong). That's equivalent to $600 per hour, the rate for 3 hours with an escort.
