About an hour ago, I was in Whole Foods getting the ingredients for two sandwiches. The assistant was a cute guy who I know is gay and whom I've looked at previously when he was behind the counter. Before he'd finished with my order, a very striking youngish guy approached the counter and began filling out forms. Not only did I look at him and think [Yummmmmy! I'd like that!], my assistant looked too. I stood and fantasized. At the end the young assistant asked me if I cared for anything else and smiled in the process. I, too, smiled and really wanted to tell him that "I wanted him and the guy who stood to my left," but shyness overcame me. We thanked each other, and I left and continued to smile.

Has something like this ever happened to you? Have you acted on this statement: "Do you care for anything else?"

The first time I stayed at one of those playful so-called resorts in Lauderdale the front desk boy insisted on helping me carry my bag to my room. He lingered for a moment before asking "Is there anything else I can do for you?" I'm glad I was quick enough to reply "Is there anything else you'd like to do for me?" Fun was had.

Actually, fun was had each of the four days I stayed there; a different houseboy came to clean my room each day. :)

Dear Axiom,

YES, I have had this happen to me, and I have acted on it. The first time it happened was in a coffee shop in a hotel, not with the server, but with someone who was standing next to me getting coffee. We both acted on our impulses, exchanges greetings, shared a table for our coffee and....................... well, I can't go into details here.

Next time, be more assertive... leave him a tip with your phone number discretely printed on the bill !! Next time you see him, be prepared. Good luck... something good is bound to happen!!!

I had a friend once he was kinda in the opposite situation. He worked at lowes while going to college. I customer comes up to his checkout line that he finds extremely attractive. He wrote down the guys phone number off the check he used to pay for his goods. He later called the guy. guy turned out to be str8 but made no deal out of it. I told him he was completely out of his mind and that was a good way too get his ass fired.. I could see this as okay if you are the customer but not in my friends situation as being the employee pursing the customer.. My very first job at 16 was in fast food I had a lady tell me once that she wanted a hot fudge sundae with me sitting on top in place of the cherry lol

Yes very similar situation...I was at my favorite little café the other day and they had just hired a new kid....nice little body and very interesting looking, bit of long black hair kinda rolled into a small pony tail, sporting a very cool cap, turned to the side just a wee bit. That along with the jeans and boots, well I was hooked. I was sitting outside and he just kept walking by and smiling. Finally he came out and asked if everything was ok. "Perfect I said, everything is perfect" to which he said "well is there anything else I can get you" to which I replied, "you mean besides more food" He blushed and began to smile and I just started laughing, we had a quick moment where our eyes met, then he winked and walked away. Damn made my day....

There are so many "sandwich" jokes you could make with this scenario....

This WAS NOT a joke if I understood your meaning as this being a joke to which I wanted some responses!

No! No! No! No joke--reality!!

To quote from a song I plan on doing at karaoke in PS: "Those triple sandwiches are my favorite ones. I must admit, I'm very partial to buns".

Axiom, the desk clerk at my gay hotel in Pattaya asked me that several times. I finally realized that he wanted me to ask him out. He spoke excellent English, and i would have been happy to take him to dinner.

But then the time would have come when I would have to either invite him to my room or not, and the answer would have been not. I wanted to avoid that awkward moment, so did not ask him to dinner.

Another time a masseur asked me that at the end of a massage. Fill in the blanks!
