Yes, I have problems incessantly with my Android app. It keeps freezing up, seriously thinking about getting an iPhone in hope that the app is better.

No Problems...

Of course that's because I've been Grindr ( and Scruff, Manhunt, etc, ) free for 2 weeks. I'm still lonely- but at least it's what I'm used to. The Apps were giving me false hope. If I'm not going to have sex- at least I don't have hunky guys on my phone causing me to have false hope.

Meh, most of those hot photos on Grindr were stolen from JAG's and LBT's Gallery posts here.

I haven't used it in a long time. In my area it's a joke. Seems like it's young hunks (supposedly) looking for same. Just an internet game!!!!

My problem is I can't get the app off my phone. Probably me. Love to know how to cause their customer disservice is atrocious.

Believe me, Bostonbill, you are not the only one with this problem. I haven't used Grindr in months and have tried repeatedly to delete the app's icon from my phone, but it won't delete and disappear. Rather annoying, huh?

normally if you plug your phone into the computer and the itunes software launches. click on your device in the itunes menu. then click on apps. uncheck the box next to grindr. then click sync that should remove it.

Same way you delete any other app. If you're using an iPhone, hold the icon until all the icons start "dancing". They'll each have an "X" in one corner. That's the delete button. Press the HOME button to exit that mode back to normal.

If it's an iPhone, delete Grindr from both your phone and iTunes. If you just delete it from the phone, iTunes will put it back on. If you delete if from iTunes, the next time you sync, iTunes will pull it off the phone. Best way to do it is to go to iTunes->iPhone->Apps and uncheck it. This will pull it off the iPhone. Then you can delete it from iTunes, too.

I have the iphone 4 and that method doesn't delete that only force close/force quit Grindr
JGA, you're confusing the buttons. What you're describing is holding down the button at the top of the phone while simultaneously holding down the HOME button at the bottom of the screen. That's a forced shut down and restart.

If you hold your finger down on any app long enough, they start jiggling and optional apps will have an X in a red circle. This will delete the app from your phone. You can also move app icons around the screen(s) while they are dancing/jiggling, the click the button at the bottom of the screen to set them in their new positions.

Unless you do it quickly, in which case it's a screen capture. ::wild cackle::

It all depends on your definition of "holding down"... ::Tame Cackle:: I think I'd describe screen capture as simultaneously clicking both buttons.

I find profiles funny that say NO hookups. just chatting or open to dating. imo regardless if its grindr manhunt or the half a dozen sites, some of the biggest sluts are the ones that say no hookups lol

I was in Wilmington, DE overnight and Grindr was useless there. Maybe it wasn't the location. I have not had much luck on either grindr or Scruff but there is a 26 year old from NJ that wants to come down to Maryland just to see me!! Such luck.
