General Gay Question: Female Condom with Gays

Here's a general gay question for everyone:

 

Has anyone seen any research/studies on the use of the female condom with 2 gay guys? Or has anyone tried it?

 

I've been watching for it, but haven't seen anything about it. I've wondered if it's sturdy enough and how it feels for the top?

I've posted about them over the years in a few threads in these forums. I like them.

 

I think they feel very good for the top because the top gets the lube on his dick and can easily add more lube. This is of course also good for the bottom.

 

It can feel great for the bottom because the bottom doesn't tend to get as pumped up with air (as sometimes happens in regular condom fucking). Also really great for group scenes as the bottom can easily make sure he has a condom in place.

 

Makes it much easier to switch seamlessly from anal to oral and back.

 

Also since the bottom can insert it or remove it when DONE fucking and by himself in the bathroom it can be wonderful for those times when one is worried about being perfectly clean.

 

I usually make a point to have a couple of them on hand.

One drawback is that they tend to be more expensive and harder to find than regular condoms.

 

I have found and used them made from polyurethane and recently more often a much more latex like nitrile formulation. The more recent ones are more rounded and lacking the seam of the earlier polyurethane ones.

 

They can also be quite god for cum games and I consider them an important tool in safer sex.

Okay—you've got my attention now. So... who tends to insert the condom, the bottom beforehand, or the top as a normal condom, and then you leave it there? Is this something you've used in a client/escort dynamic, or just during regular play? I've wondered about these in passing, but it was more during my time bottoming with a fuck-buddy, and I used to hate the process of getting clean beforehand.

The bottom or top may insert it in the bottom. And the insertion may take place beforehand, or immediately before fucking. While mostly a top I do occasionally bottom and in many of those instances I use a female condom. In those cases I tend to insert it in myself. But I have often inserted it into the bottom's bottom and sometimes use my dick to insert it.

 

Some folks will prefer to remove the inner stabilizing vaginal ring for anal play and others will leave it in.

If you leave it in then the orientation of the ring may make the difference between a great or not so great experience. I recommend some trial and error.

 

I've used them in LOTS of appointments with clients and also play with fuckbuddies. In gang bangs, one on one, 3ways and exhibitionistic play. Also not just for fucking but also for anal toy play.
