I remember reading a great satirical piece many years ago ... perhaps even in the New Yorker ???

Aliens land in major city center to check it out and report back to their leader. They report

back saying this place will be easy to overtake ... seems to ruled by this diverse range of 4 legged creatures

that weigh anywhere from a couple of pounds to 150 pounds and they are worshiped by these 2 legged creatures

that adore them and even follow them around for hours at a time and pick up their shit constantly ... a fascinating race of assorted docile 2 legged people that speak this 'funny' adoring language to the 4 legged creatures - they seem to communicate in 2 totally different languages - so far that is the only confusing part ???

I am sure it would take some devoted hunting ... the piece was written some time in 90's ... I am estimating at least 15 years since I read it. SORRY ?
