Seriously! I have never me a client from there nor has any escort I know. Potential clients post ads then you respond (meeting all their criteria) and they don't even bother to acknowledge your response. It is a GREAT idea but it does not work. From a client's perspective, the "wanted ads" are not very good either. Not because of the lack of replies, but from the lack of replies that fit the criteria. From my experiences, it appears that once you place a "wanted ad", any escort is able to respond, irregardless of whether he fits your requests or not. I have tried it before, and get responses from escorts who are 5, 10, and more years outside of my requested age range.

 

In order to be effective, IMHO, there needs to be a way to "match" up the client and escort with a certain percentage of "requested criteria" matching up. And Mikey, nothing against you personally, but remember that this whole business of pleasure is very subjective. Someone may state that he is looking for a tall, dark, muscular guy. That doesn't mean that EVERY single tall, dark, muscular guy will create that spark of interest that makes the client willing to pay money to spend time with him. So even the 100% matches on paper may not be a match when it boils down to it..

Lurker, you said pretty much what I wanted to write.

 

I have used this feature when on the road, but end up getting hits (responses) from guys way outside of my comfort zone (including escorts I know practice BB and have tats, piercing etc... which I usually avoid). The filters on this option are not very good and so it is sort of a crap shoot when using it. Once or twice I will come across someone I like and pursue that lead, but 75% of the replies are from guys who are simply not my type. I do respond to the majority of them saying, "Thanks for the reply, but not my type." or some such thing.

I totally agree with Lurker. I only had to try it once to junk it. Of the few guys that responded, none were a match. It seemed to me that it was more simply a way of saying I'm looking than what I'm looking for.

Although I've rarely used this site for my contacts--I've been successful with the escorts I''ve seen who are in the San Francisco Bay area and use

this site for their contact/client base. Also, some of the guys who have an ad here also have an ad at one or both of the other two popular sites:

http://www.rentboy.com and http://www.rentmen.com.

 

But of the three sites, this one is definitely my least favorite in all respects: its ads, its review area, etc. I do like how we place our favorite guys

into their special area called "studs"--I think. It's quite user-friendly as opposed to some of the other areas of this site.

Although I would never argue with a muscular guy like you, I have to disagree. I have actually met a lot of guys using M4RN wanted list (yes, you surely do not meet the elite there but that's another question). What I find weird is guys post wanted ads, offering $300-350 for 1 hour and if I respond they see I charge $230 for outcall and I get $230 So then I do not know what that one was for (but that's fine I am happy with that too ).

To add something to the topic why escorts respond to listings that do not fit the criteria:

I also send requests to people who are not necessarily looking for me. (Of course I would not respond to someone who only wants a black male) but I will respond to people who are looking for guys 29-35. I might be 26, but many people can tell that I am a lot more mature than guys at my age and that is why I respond. Bottom line: The client will not contact me, but what do I lose? Nothing. But in a lucky case? I can get an appointment with that person... and it was a free investment then (not the membership of course but actually sending a message to him).

M4RN pays handsomely for google placement. If you're in East Nowhere and google escort listings, I believe it's one of the first sites to come up.

Clients and escorts will continue to use what gives them the best results, I suppose. My biggest complaint with M4RN is that they don't allow details about endowments and roles (although escorts can use the terms top, bottom & versatile in the text.) I disapprove of the policy of leaving up expired ads, but it's easy enough to differentiate them, and they come at the end of the listings.

ok, so Peter has success with them. He is the first and I stand corrected. AS far as m4rn the site goes my post was not to criticize it but only to question this aspect of it. My phone number is very clearly posted in my m4rn ad by the way so only the escorts who choose not to post a number are without one.. now, in nyc where the amazingly endowed Mr. Slater dwells m4rn is useless beacuse rentboy is so big there. In mid-size cities and in the south and midwest it is HUUUUUGE and you have to use it whether you like it or not. Rentboy simply gets no hits in new orleans---but m4rn is way big there for example. As far as stating endowments, yes, you are right but when an escort posts a clear hard on shot or 5 in my case you can pretty well guess within a half inch how big the guys dick is. I mean you may not be able to tell between 9 or 10 or between 7.5 and 8 but you can be close. Problem there is that many escorts don't post cock shots at all. In that case the client can't help but wonder if the escort has a case of smallcox...lol

That was also my experience. The funny thing is that an escort who did meet my criteria never received a notice I was looking.
