Max- a question- I thought several months ago- I or someone else asked you about an ad. I thought your reply was you weren't really advertising at the moment- just seeing some regulars. Has this changed? Do you now have an ad somewhere? Inquiring minds would like to know.

Thanks,

Rex

YEs, thanks for asking, Rex! Enquireing minds want to know. Maxwellissmart, you have a brain and a good attitue for people. You're someone - probably no. 2 or 3 on my bucket list - that I'd like to meet. But I have no idea how to reach you. Help?

I can't imagine demanding that an escort or masseur "establish a rapport" with me. What the hell does that even mean? Does he take me out to dinner and hear stories of my childhood BEFORE I hire him? What a nutcase. Establishing a rapport takes two people working to get to know each other. I admire you guys for being able to deal with this and still have the spirit and energy to see the rest of us. :)

Lohengrin, you've articulated my thoughts exactly. I expect the first email to be boilerplate and am pleasantly surprised when it isn't. Given the number of emails a working guy has to send out on any given day, using a boilerplate for the first one helps cut through to serious clients. Rapport, if there's going to be any, is something that happens later.

As I have noted in the past, I require an interview, that is drinks and luncheon at my expense, with a rentboy before making a hire. If he chooses not to accomodate me in that, I do not take offense and "move on". Frankly, however, I cannot conceive of employing someone in any position without an interview. "Establishing rapport", of course, is a horse of a different color, as it implies the initiation of a "personal" relationship, and, "escorting", as I have preached often in this forum, is a "business", a vocation not an avocation.

I think rapport can, and often is, established in a purely business relationship. However, rapport is established as the relationship progresses, not prior to it beginning. Either the prospective client does not know what "rapport" means or is simply full of shit. Perhaps a little of both.

Max, Boilerplate me all you want. Your terms and conditions are important and the sooner I know them the sooner, we will both know if we're going to do anything other than electronic digital masturbation...

I was at a loss for a response, so I wrote something benign like: "sounds good," and got back some sort of written version of an eyeroll.

the client sounds like he's high maintenance and a pain in the ass. if you can tolerate it then continue but if you dread dealing with him then stop.

LOL! Steven - it was a double entendré!!! electronic digital masturbation can describe a computerized cock pump as well as it can describe keyboarding sexual messages back and forth! Thanks for playing!
