Steven, I see you have the AIDS/Lifecycle 2012 in your signature. Perhaps you could post a thread with a link to a donation page for those forum members who might be interested. This also goes for any others who are riding in the event this year. Thanks for your participation in this very worthwhile event.

Gentlemen, I've decided to ride 545 miles again from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS.

Help me support AIDS/LifeCycle by giving what you can. We'll keep riding until AIDS and HIV are a thing of the past.

These very type important commitments, which by themselves, should make a difference in other peoples personal behavior, seemingly never do so to the extent of which they should.

Everything in life always seems to be in response to a crisis rather than in the prevention or cause of that crisis.

HIV, like global warming of the planet, are perfect examples of this. Until there is a verifiable threat or crisis before mankind - Society will never act upon such knowledge because it is not a convenient inconvenience for most of us all to accept because of the lifestyle changes it requires us to manage and to contain such a threat.

Our society, our world for that matter, should never be reliant upon volunteers and seemingly radical-type individuals to tell us what matters to us or to the people of the world.

It should be apparent for all of us by now that we live or want to live our lives regardless of those facts.

Historical life facts will always seemingly mirror the difference of who we once were as a people as opposed to whom we could have become as a people based upon the absence of who we were so deeply seeking to be a part from, from the start.

The problem is, we still, apparently, don't.

Welcome, global warming and welcome the new HIV strain that will, again and still, challenge us all.

Steven - Thank you for participating in this very worthwhile event. I was proud tp help supporr a couple of the riders last year and hope to do even more this year. It shows a lot about who you are to take time and commit to this cause. And I hope it can show what this forum community can do, ten hours after this post you are alreayd at almost a third of your goal. I urge all forum members to join in this effort, for steven as well as for other riders from our little community,

Keep us updated on your progress Steven and an occasional report during the ride would be great. Best of luck

Steven,

Thanks for doing what many of us would like to do, but are unable to do. I do hope that all of the Forum readers will support you or one of the other fine guys who will be riding.

Just a bump of this important thread.

I certainly think it would be great if some of Steven's many clients would step up and support this very worthwhile effort. I've not been a client of Steven's, and if I can do it, so can you. You can either make a one time gift or a pledge which will be split into as many payments as you want (up to 10 months). It certainly is easy and the cause is more than worthy.

Well said LBT..had dinner the other night with one of the members here, and we were discussing Steven and his efforts...He and I both promised to pledge money...I have been asked by friends to do the Aids Ride as well. They all tell me that it is absolutely LIFE CHANGING....

BVB -- by all reports, it is a life changing event. I supported 2 riders in the 2011 ride and hope to support even more this year. If you do the ride, please let us know so we can contribute to your support as well.

Thank you Steven for giving your time, energy, and heart to this tremendous effort once again.

And for those of us that aren't as muscular and callipygian as Steven.....

Remember, you don't have to ride...volunteering for one of the support teams is an amazing experience that will also change your life.
