When you onto Rentboy and click for Manhattan, there's like 300 or so men on there but like 250 of them are the same old pictures.

 

You'd think that in a bad economy there'd be a lot of men that would be willing to do this kind of thing to make a little extra money. Why aren't there more men?

 

Also: Wouldn't it be great to just have like a "spa" or something in New York City - a place that you can just make an appointment to get into and there's like a list of 50 hot guys to choose from. Maybe I should open one.

There are a whole lot of people entering the biz in this down economy. That many are unable or unwilling to advertise it shouldn't suprise you too much. Agree with JJK, although my cutting back has little to do with hiring escorts in the USA. I used to go to Montreal on a regular basis and had lots of fun in the strip bars and brought my favourites back to my hotel. Now? Haven't been in two years----declining value of USA$ compared to the CD$ which had an effect on everything---hotel bill, food, tips to strippers, etc.; the hassel of crossing the border back to USA and my declining portfolio and a couple of more personal issues I won't go into here. All adds up to a change in spending pattern and there are probably many more who have economic constraints on their "entertainment" spending.

While it had nothing to do with the economy, the best hire I ever had was from the old gay.com chatrooms using the generous etc. It was a college kid needing extra money and one who never advertised.
