One of my favorite plays from the early plays of the AIDS epidemic is Raft of The Medusa, set in an AIDS group, which I saw at the Minetta Lane Theater in 1991. It has now been newly revised by the author, Joe Pintauro, and will be presented as part of a three-play festival called Stripped. Medusa starts on Wednesday, and runs through October 22d, meaning I will miss it. Stripped includes Verse Chorus Verse, a drama inspired by the Nirvana song of the same name, and Gloucester Blues, a dark comedy.

Medusa: through October 22d.

Verse: October 26th to November 12th

Blues: November 16th to December 3d

The shows run at the Cherry Lane and more info is at http://www.barefoottheatrecompany.org

Thanks for that valuable information.

Joe (aka Joseph) Pintauro has also written several novels, most notably "Cold Hands" (1979). I remember liking the book when it was first published. But, I just read the short summary of the story on the inside cover. My first reaction is that the story is now somewhat dated, not sure though because I would need to actually read the book again to comment with any authority.
