Something that will not happen again now for quite a whilenhas just occurred: the forum has a new Peer. Axiom has now crossed the 6,000 Post mark.

There have only been 5 or 6 before now, and the fact that no one else is even close, it will be a long time before the forum gets its next Peer.

Axiom - you have been a valued member of this community for a long time. You have been kind and patient, even with newbies such as myself, and I consider it a great privilege and honor to call you friend.

So congratulations Axiom. Take a bow. You deserve it.

No disrespect to Axiom, whose posts I always enjoy, but . . . what is there about 6,000 that is so much more astonishing than 5,999? As Suzanne Sugarbaker used to say, "Big woop!"

ROFL, had to laugh, although it IS a major accomplishment, some might say he just has a big mouth.... Guess its all in the perception ?

lol. Axiom has averaged .39 posts/day since he joined; you've averaged 12.97. Don't worry - if you have his stamina, you'll soon leave him in the dust. ;)

Dont worry seeker, I'm already feeling burnt out, and today I woke up with a horse-head in my bed, so I think theres a message there ? I better lay low.....

Somehow, I don't think you're the type to be intimidated. :) Maybe some of the novelty of finding a place to voice your opinions on certain topics is just wearing off.

Its not so much the Novelty wearing off, but the attitudes and reactions of others towards the posts is getting just a bit Tired, and I am too old and weary to keep fighting.... So I am hearby waving my white jockstrap in submission....

1. What's the big Woop of a 60th birthday versus 59 or 61? What was the difference between the new year of 2000 versus 1999 or 2001 (besides the massive hysteria about Y2K)? Round number syndrome I guess.

2. It earns a new title here on the forum, one that very few have ever reached. I guess the question is why aren't new titles handed out at odd, random numbers? Why aren't at this level you earning a new title every 893 posts instead of 1000?

Or every 1074 posts?

Why not, indeed. Thanks, Lee. I couldn't have said it better myself.
