I've been quite sick for a month and haven't posted at all. But I wanted to encourage everyone to vote tomorrow.

As we learned in 2000, everyone's vote really DOES count.

Vote your heart and your conscience. But, please, consider the implications for gay people and gay rights if the Republicans control all three branches of the federal government. Beyond that, this administration's history on civil rights in general has been alarming. Removing the check and balance of at least one democratic chamber is a worrisome prospect.

My best to you all.

Hope you are getting better, BG.

As far as the voting, I gave up when the Supreme Court stole the presidency. Nobody I voted for ever won anyway.:(

The indignity of it all is that registered voters get called for jury duty, where they are treated rudely and generally abused.

Hope you're feeling better, as I've been there and done that. You can definitely count on me, as I have not missed a vote since I was old enough to vote for the first time in 1972, when I voted for a Republican (yes, it was Nixon!) for the first and only time! I was ecstatic to see my all time favorite president (Jimmy Carter) win the NOBEL PRIZE!! As if Reagan wasn't bad enough, I find myself in every gay man's nightmare (a Bush to the left and a Bush to the right)! Get well soon and start chatting to us!

Exactly...it's so important that we all (including those who are in the closet) get out and vote tomorrow! And after you vote, go get sucked off or get fucked or...just do something to thank yourself, because every vote really does count. And if you don't vote, they'll outlaw gay sex. :p Seriously, though...vote!

RE: I encourage you to vote tomorrow

I agree the Republicans are hoping for voter apathy a la 2000 thats how the Moron-In-Chief got elected amongst other chicanary.

The Democrats have to mobilise voters especially those who are in minorities etc to get out and VOTE it may not make a huge difference ,here in NY i can't see Pataki getting kicked out ,not after spending $60 million on the re-election but if they see enough Democratic voters out there and it gives them a fright in key states it might be a wake up call of sorts.

If you want a Republican controlled Senate/Congress etc then hey DON'T vote but dont forget if you dont vote you are playing into Bush and cos hands they can go for the 'if you dont vote for us-Saddam will be attacking the US by Thanksgiving crap'

It makes you wonder does Bush etc REALLY wanna catch Bin-Laden i dont think so if they did then they couldn't do all the crap they are planning in the name of the 'War on Terror' thats why 14 months after 9/11 he's still at large somewhere.

Also dont forget the Office of Homeland Snooping will be more powerful regarding reading your e-mails,bugging your phones etc all in the name of 'Terror' i also think that it will take the place of the Federal Bureau of Inaction .

In case you're not planning on voting wisely, then stay home, or maybe trip on the steps of your polling place and hit your head or something. }>
