Today, David-sf, the Leader of Planet Earth and ruler of the Free World turns 43.

You know David, the number 43 was a big and very important number to another King. Richard Petty:

In your other career, the one that doesn’t involve ruling the world, I think the successes of King Richard’s career certainly pales in comparison to the successes of yours. The landscape is rife with men whose lives you have touched and made better simply by having you involved with them. If the measure of a man is the impact for good he has on others, then your measure is already fuller than most men who are even twice your age. And at 43, you are still a young pup (hell, I don’t even remember 53 let alone 43) with much left to give.

And so in the immortal words of yet another king, for all you do for the men on the forum and other likeminded men:

Happy Birthday David. I hope it is a great one.

David,

Like wine you continue to improve with age and at the same time appear ageless!

Many thanks for all you have given to me and to so many others.

May this, your birthday and all the years to come be filled with love, laughter and happiness!

Happy Birthday David. Although I only met you once socially in Palm Springs, you will stay etched in my mind as one of the most memorable people I have ever met. The race car analogy is perfect. You're a human race car--high speed, high energy, and non stoppable.

Enjoy your day!

HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to one of the finest men I have been ever privledged to meet. Am still looking forward to a future time for another get together. In the meantime, please spend a few moments posting on your travels and observations. I miss that too.
