Your best best I think is to hire someone from the Los Angeles area who travels. The pickings are mighty slim to naught outside of the big California cities!!!!

Johnf I agree with Axiom...I live in L.A. in fact in the suburbs. From where I am it is only about a 30 minute drive to Ventura. (great little town) by the way. Almost any escort in L.A. would understand your predicament and probably be willing to travel. And if a car was not available to them, train travel from downtown L.A. is frequent and convenient. Santa Paula is a tough destination. It's in the middle of nowhere.

 

The only direct highway comes from downtown Ventura. It definitely ISN'T an easy trip even for guys in LA. They'd have to drive all the way to Ventura and then head inland. And note that it means using either route 1 or the 101 from LA to Ventura, and neither route is exactly known as an easy or predictably uncongested trip. The nearest regular train service would be in Oxnard, I think.

 

If you're willing to do an overnight, maybe you could get someone up from LA, but man I'd think twice about that trip if I was selling my time. For a first meeting I'm not so sure I'd even accept the booking. I'd look for listings in Santa Barbara instead, if there are any. That would be an easier drive.

 

There's a Ventura County page on Craigslist, and sometimes you'll see M4M ads looking for "assistance". (Or, heck, you might get lucky for free!) But as with everything on Craigslist, buyer beware.
