(this was due to me thinking his reviews were fake so i questioned his pic too. i wanted to see if he was worth seeing despite my suspicions )

I don't think asking for a face pic is out of the ordinary. Very unprofessional to blow off someone for a simple request. I had suspected his reviews were fake too since they seem to happen all in a short time and seem to occur every time he travels to a new location.

Has anyone actually seen this guy? Is he as much of a jerk in person?

The attitude in e-mails is always what I look for. I always text or e-mail a nice, warm and sincere e-mail, if what I get in response is cold, short and a tinge of attitude, I'm out, period..I always ask for a face pic. If they refuse, I just consider it money I didn't waste. But there are legit masseurs who will gladly send a pic via e-mail...there are too many great guys out there who are sincere about what they do.

I don't know Jaxon, but to be fair, it's often sometimes hard to tell from a text or email the tone that someone meant. Because when I first read his message, I read "whatever" as meaning "no problem". And I read the second line as meaning he understands how someone could fee uneasy ("insecure") about meeting without a facepic.

Just read what glutes posted and his reference to a previous thread...I could be wrong and will gladly admit it, but it sounds like mr. IrTwo makes a good point, I may have read it wrong. True, I could have let it drop after he said no. Like someone else mentioned, i do use email/text to gauge the attitude of a person. It may not be always accurate but I guess a response from him in the line of "sorry we could not work things out" would have kept the door open verses "whatever" and calling me insecure.

 

He seems to travel back in forth from LA to SF a lot. Notice none of his reviews have a price paid on it. I am not sure if masseurs can opt to keep this information off reviews or not but to me this gives another sign of a fake review.

Hey cody94577, you are right. That is exactly what I meant by getting an accurate feeling from emails. His response in my estimation was too short and blunt, if this is a legit business for him and his intent is to build clientele, then a kinder closing to his email was necessary. Regardless of what you do, how you respond to other people is paramount to success, unless of course he just doesn't care ( I think that is most likely the case), then when you get that reponse, just let him go...

I think this is just another sign of the times. The younger generations use of text and instant messaging often equate acronyms, abbreviations, and incomplete sentences to proper grammar. Many younger adults care more about providing a quick reply than taking the time to craft an accurate, or as in this case, a thoughtful response.

 

Hopefully after a few blown communications and client relationships, one will learn to differentiate personal communication style from professional communication.

Given that he is "doing business", I think his reply to you to be ill-considered tripe. Nonetheless, the reality of the thing is that there is no "prestige" in being an "escort" or a "masseur" in the light of day. When was the last time you invited "one of the boys" to dine at table with your family or business associates? Perhaps, and I do not offer this remark in his defense, he has a plan for a life that would occasion "sunshine" in the future?

Rarely do I hire without a face picture and in those instances whereby there is none I do ask if they would send one...some do, some don't...and those that don't I move on...so if he refused it was his choice...so move on.

The truth is that alot of guys that HIRE are ruled by their dicks, and not their brain. If the guy turns them on, regardless that he comes off as an asshole, they will persist in pursuing him. They just like the challenge. I also think that it takes a few "rip-offs" to see the light and become a bit more buyer saavy..... As for me personally, in life, if any person gives me "shade", I just move on. No time for that bullshit. there are too many nice and decent people for you to use your energy on.
