Google Maps celebrates gay marriage in NY

Google is known for subtle graphics that celebrate, commemorate, or otherwise remind of landmark dates.

Which is kind of interesting because Google, althought they do have a great reputation as being supportive of LGBT issues, did catch some flack for not having anything on their website (you know how they change their name for different occasions) celebrating pride.

 

I wonder if anyone will publish numbers about how many gay couples were married yesterday.

 

And did the ceremony that Michael Bloomberg was going to preside at of his two staffers take place yesterday.

That is so awesome of Google to do. Small steps gaining momentum. What will we do when gay is mainstream?
